I carry a full size appendix and I've made it work but sometimes just want something smaller that protrudes less. Kinda limits what I wear

Blah, almost forgot. Go shoot a couple. A lot of good recommendations here. If you are choosing an EDC, especially if you are going to shoot a compact variant of anything, go try them out. See which feels best in your hand and which you enjoy shooting most. Also check out the Sig P226/229 models.

    This.

I chose the M&P9c because I have the full size version that’s an old duty weapon. Mags are interchangeable. Kinda want a shield to complete the family... but I have an LCP for situations where I need something small

I'll second this. I have the full size and absolutely love it. A few buddies carry the shield, and the fiancé wants one for her purse gun

Completely serious. They also wanted to charge me a minimum of 30 minutes of labor at $105/hr. I took it to Desert Rat in Tempe and they had it done in about 15 seconds, for free.. Highly recommend speaking to Brett if anyone else needs an off the truck charge.

I gave them a call, very helpful but unfortunately don't deal with Nitrogen.

C2 has/had a decent assortment of rooty tooty pointy shooties to sample. So does SGC. Definitely try a few different variants and get a feel for the difference between hammer vs striker fire. Sample a few, then jump on gunbroker and buy all of them.

For EDC I carried a shield for a long time and recently switched over to a Sig 365.
    Could let you try either.
