What’s the terms like on those high dollar loans? Like how many years to pay off?

    That’s insane!

    Workin' on it....
    Yes!!!

My cousin is a linesman - makes nearly as much as me, no student debt, didn’t spend 12 years in university and all the associated lost opportunity cost associated with giving up a real salary during that time as well as not having really any money to contribute to retirement.

I should have been a plumber / electrician etc.

FYI trade schools still cost money. Cost me about $30k for my 2years at MMI straight out of high school. That’s probably on the higher side for trade schools, but they still cost you. I’m back in regular college because the industry has changed so much it is hard to make good money in it without some extraordinary circumstances.

Edit: And this was 12yrs ago. I’m sure prices have gone up.

You’re ME right? That’s nuts to do it that quick. But so much easier straight out of high school rather than 10yrs later

I’m working on it. Currently my only sponsors are whiskey that I have to pay for, and a fiancé that is still willing to marry me even though I’m spending all the money I don’t have on this damn truck.
