Short little walk around the neighborhood tonight. Just over a mile. First distance since surgery. Felt good but still a long ways from 16-20 mile days on the azt Screenshot_20190410-213300_Instagram.jpg

Took my struts out last night. The rest of it is coming out too to get cleaned up and replacing all the bushings, ball joints, and front wheel bearings. 20190410_204029.jpg

This reminds me I need to do mine before it is too hot. I'm just going to get the rotors turned and OEM pads. I looked into the TRD pads and although they seem like a nice simple upgrade, most people complain over the excessive dusting.

the materials used in today's brake rotors are not the same as they used to be, they are meant to be replaced instead of turned, in most cases.

for the last 10 years or so, the rotors are just not as hard as the used to be or pads not as soft (cant remember which) - i learned this when i went to turn the rotors on my '05 silverado, ended up having to buy new rotors.

its really just safer to replace in the long run.

I spotted this super nice 95 Tacoma at Big Two when I dropped my truck off to get the leaking front main seal replaced under warranty. They said the lady had over 20 grand into it and had a 3.0 swap done. It was so clean and perfect.
