Well if you’re in the market soon, lemme know. The lift isn’t that bad. Just lowered the rear actually. I did the suspension change very quickly after acquisition to combat the nose dive issue that stock 4Runners have.

Will do. Her current ride is still in decent shape I'm trying to convince her to pay off current debt before taking on new debt. I won't be in the market to replace the taco for 18-24 months.

Any plumbers by trade here? Had a bit of an issue today.

I walk into the garage to find water everywhere, and after a serious "Oh shit" moment I realize what happened. The drain line of my water softener had fired off while regenerating, and then the softener proceeded to just golden shower all over my water heater for the remainder of the regen cycle. Water heater cutoff the pilot light as it should, had to sop up the pan with a towel and I managed to get it relit.

I'm in need of some simple advice, to make sure I'm not making a dumb rookie mistake on my fixes-
1: how much actual line do I really need going to the pre-piped drain that came with the house? Once it goes into that drain it already has its own air gap and p-trap inside the laundry room, so I'm thinking I can cut the vinyl tubing down and make it a short, straight shot from the softener outlet pipe to the wall. It's currently got like 3+ feet of slack which I think may have contributed due to weight. I just wanna make sure it's not needed to be a secondary p-trap or something.
2: It's plastic barbs on either side, is there some kind of special hose clamp to use? Zip tie instead?? Obviously I would avoid crushing the barb with overtorque but... it letting loose is not a desirable outcome either.

Yup just scraped/bashed my bad ankle against the corner of the bed ironically setting up the pillows to elevate and ice it. So much for the swelling going down

That’s a bitch. I had to have part of my toenail cut out and literally hit iron my bed the same night. Funny how when your trying so hard to be careful is when the mistakes happen.

Hope you heal up soon man!

Also, why the hate on Q? He was only brought into this by somebody suggesting an alternative, which may have been devious but none the less.... the whole thing started as a simple warning against Avid. I'll support local business all day long, but when I feel like a buddy has been takin advantage of I'll speak out. Avid slacked big time, that should be the end of it. Anyone going to Avid should be aware and be weary.

Ran Hawk pads with stock rotors on my 2nd gen and was pretty happy with them.

Looking for a bit of an upgrade myself though on the 3rd gen as I'm coming up on pads soon. Looking at trying something new with Stoptech rotors, EBC pads, and stainless lines.

Got my brake calipers and brake lines all mounted. I'm really not sure if I want to sand off the paint on the NISSAN letters. I kinda like the way they look right now.

Cleaned up the floor and all the leftover mess from pulling out the front suspension. So close to time to put the motor back in!

Cut the tubing and run a straight shot to the wall as short as possible. Clamps are a great idea on both ends.
