5% on all the windows, just a strip on the windshield. It's fine during the day, a bit annoying at night, very annoying while offroading at night.

I wouldn't want it any darker. It's dark enough to seriously take the edge off of the sun but not so dark that it makes it hard to see at night. I haven't driven it at night while it's raining though. That's always been the true test of whether your tint is too dark.

I'm doing my best to hold off. At this point I'm pretty undecided what I'm going to do long term. This truck was primarily picked up as reliable transport for me to get to any spot along the azt and held its value really well so if I hated it or wanted to go to a sports coupe again I could get out of it without losing my ass.

After almost a year of owning it plus my ankle injury I'd forgotten how much I like offroading. With that said I'm pretty set on getting either a 2020/2021 Tacoma or possibly a 6th gen 4 runner if they come out in next couple years. In the meantime I'm doing my best to put money away so I can pay cash for one or have a low 3 year loan and that will end up being my big build. I love my truck but long term I'd be happier down the road with the new tech plus power seat in the 2020 Tacoma or the upgraded 6th gen t4r. I don't really want to dump a bunch of $ into this rig and transfer old used stuff onto a brand new one or buy all new stuff to replace it.

Sounds pretty reasonable - I think a T4R will be my next rig as well......though with the money I've sunk into my Taco, I'll likely be keeping it for the next 10 years.....2030 T4R ;)

What’s really scary is when you put everything you have done to your truck in excel with prices and everything. :anonymous:

I did that the other day just before I forget things and figure it’s good to have a record of everything on the truck with part numbers.

No thankfully not haha. Retail on everything I’ve done is like $18k though haha. Thankfully I’ve gotten some used parts here and there and traded some things so I don’t have that much into it.

The numbers get big quick! Definitely chilling on mods and going to work hard towards the pay off early mod. Hoping that if I hammer down on it I can have it paid off in a year or so.

What about the excell spread sheet showing everything you told your significant other you paid for the item versus what you really paid..... that’s a spread sheet that needs a password and made a hidden file stashed away deep inside multiple folders.

I could have had my truck paid off 1.5-2 years ago had I not done any mods to it and left it stock. :bananadead::bananadead::bananadead:

My interest rate is less than inflation, I'm in no hurry to pay it off early.

Bit the bullet and extended the Utah trip by a day. Mostly to avoid a 11 hour road trip home the last day with multiple stops.

New route. Stay night in flag. Head to Torrey UT via Monument Valley with stops there and Goosenecks state park. Return loop coming back through Brice NP then cottonwood canyon rd, toadstools hike. Staying night in Page to break up the drive plus can now catch sunset at horseshoe bend and do Antelope Canyon in the morning before heading back to PHX

Yeah when I realize how much I have spent on the Tacoma it’s pretty damn crazy, I know I went ham on the suspension because I wanted to, but it’s all the other smaller stuff that adds up.

Speaking of paying off stuff, I got a call from my family regarding my Grandmas estate... I was her only grandkid and she wrote me in for what basically amounts to a quarter of everything.

I’m choking up just posting about this, but I can go down to the bank and pay my Honda off clean and clear once everything is out of the paperwork phase. I haven’t even made the first payment yet.
