There was your problem. But that does seem weird they would be different between Japan and Canada for rotors.

The stoptech brakes were nice and easy to do. Now I just have to figure out where to do the break in procedure.

Just went to speak to my uncle at his shop to talk about tires and plans.

His motto has been "Stop reading stuff on the internet" whenever I mention anything.

I asked if he could get me some Coopers and he didnt have many nice things to say. Whats the beef with Coopers?

I love my uncle but I really hate getting treated like a moron.

I’ve been running cooper mtps from discount for almost 3 years now. They’re a bit worn but then again they are mud tires. Got them before I moved here. I haven’t had any problems at all with them. Next set may be coopers again, but gonna go with an A/T tire

I run Cooper ATP on the truck. No problems. I put Cooper CS5 Ultra Touring on wifes AWD Venza and they are way quieter and better handling than the Goodyears it had. The Goodyears made the car louder than my Taco. My next set will be more Coopers.

One of his techs has a disdain for Coopers since he had a set that delaminated after 20k miles. Seemed anecdotal and incidental. The AT3 4S and AT3 LT in C load were both really attractive to me for price and performance.

My uncle deals mostly in Nitto primarily because he's sponsored by them (he races in KotH) and I like Nittos but they dont have a lot of options in 16" and are heavy. He would likely hook me up on mounting and aligning so they are certainly attractive.

But he's pushing spacer kits to level the truck out (I dont care about the rake) and is also advising I wait for wheels and do it all at once (wheels are a year or two down the road for me since the snugtop ate up all the toy fund for the time being).

I think Im gonna go to him for suspension and lockers/re-gearing when the time comes but only if he doesnt hate me for taking my business elsewhere.

I agree with waiting to do the wheels and tires at once. A spacer lift I would not recommend. If your uncle can do the mount/balance and alignment(if needed) that might make the Nitto's a decent deal. It's your truck, do your research and do what you want.

Ended up finally getting some spots...these LP6s are bright.

Sorry the angle sucks...the best I could get before they blinded my phone.

Question for the AZ folk. Are there places up North for wild berry picking?

I think I remember as a young kid I went with my friend and his parents up north somewhere and we spent the day in the forest driving around forest roads and picking all kinda of wild raspberry looking things.

Is this still a thing or has my memory fooled me? If it is anyone have any recommendations on time of year and locations?
