I have a plan to actually let my son drive the tacoma to school/work, and i would help me buy an electric vehicle so that i can drive it to/from work. It's been tough for my son to drive the tundra.

250 miles a week at a minimum for commute alone. then driving around for errands. looking at an EV for commute.

Also for whatever reason, im not getting 450miles/tank. More like a touch over 400.

lol understood. I run through 20-25 gallons in the Tacoma a week. I just stop keeping track. I've done the game of buying a better vehicle for MPGs and eventually I will buy a super cheap DD as a 2nd vehicle, but I want to enjoy what I drive which is why I have the taco with the gear on it I want/need

I'm showing 15.6 as average in the Sequoia with the new tires. Could prob do a little better if I went aftermarket lighter wheels since I'm still running factory 20s.

I am on the freeway, but traffic most of the time. I drove up to payson and back and got 15.4 and that's staying off the skinny pedal when i can.

Right now mine is all city driving with the occasional trip down the 101. Wife went to NM 2 weeks ago and average just under 18.

You prob won't do a whole lot better in the taco due to wasted gas on idling...

Get a supercharger for your tundra. I have seen close to 20 on the freeway. But I have old man tires currently. I expect this to drop back to 15-16 when I get real wheels and tires.

I'm on a once a week minimum schedule. this month has been more. I've filled up twice in the last week.

To be fair it's a lot of highway and she was alone. So very lightly loaded due to the lack of me and and the kids.
