Wife's 40th today. I got a bit too sendy driving the dirt road through cathedral valley over a crest in the road and almost made her puke lol. Offroading with someone who gets car sick not so great but she made it and saw some more really cool shit.

Power just blinks and the AC unit starts sounding like a gas generator... freak out and turn it off, check it out in the rain and it looks like nothing is wrong, then let it cycle back on and it is normal operation and sound level.

Not super worried because I have the full warranty still and it’s less than a year old, but wondering why it did that. Best guess is some amperage dip or something but no permanent damage.

Drained the rest of the gas out, changed the filler neck seal while it was empty, finished up all the vacuum lines for the boost controller. Taking a break to cook some food then I will be finally running the coolant lines for the turbos and the transmission cooler lines. Hopefully I will be able to get fluids in it tonight but I'm not counting on it. Changing that filler neck seal took way more time than I thought it was going to as usual.

Just the matter of patching the small hole in the firewall 4F103B02-F358-44F4-B671-A5C22EB4653D.jpg

But should clear the 37’s whenever they show up.

Thanks everyone! Walked away with just a bruised collar bone from the seat belt, thankfully. Waiting for insurance to assess damages, fingers crossed they don't totally it out. If not, thinking it's time for an armor bumper & full paint job.

Lol it’s been planned for a while. Engine cage and chopping out the inner fenders since they were falling apart from tires trying to self clearance at full bump. 37’s are on order and should be getting installed hopefully around the end of the month so I’m clearancing for them as well.

Technically I’ll have lost some leg room, but it won’t be noticeable. The hole is mostly behind the kick panel and behind the tube that goes down through the floor to connect the cage to the frame.

I pick my spots. Like to be able to see if anyone is coming plus I know that road so well was my 3rd or 4th trip up in just a couple months. I'm a terrible person to follow cause I slow way down for blind corners and dips in the road.

The stock Bilsteins seem to smooth out at speed to and the truck feels more stable/planted at 45 than 30. Didn't hit the bumpstops today that's my sign of pushing too hard

I have noticed this also, which is kinda crazy when you think about it.
There is a optimal speed for the terrain, if you find it, the ride is amazingly smooth.

I am sure this smokes the shocks though, as they are working at 100% duty cycle.

My 5100s are already blown in the front after about 15k. I think it's from the preload of the springs.

Finally all ready for fluids!! My hands are so messed up and killing me. The coolant lines I had to run today were just a bear to get in. Not much room back there near the firewall.
