Keep the softtopper, get a rack to go over it. Mount RTT to that. Win!
Edit: meant to quote @Bikinaz about selling his softtopper.

I’m thinking about going this route but getting an over soft topper rack so keep both. That or a hard shell camper with rtt on top

hopping to find a deal on alu cab or gfc box

Any of you guys do all of your own wiring? I’m not practiced in that area. Trying to decide between arb portable vs on board. Portable will be a lot cheaper and can move from vehicle to vehicle. But would be nice to have on board

also doing a light bar and extra fog/driving. Trying to decide if I should do a switch pro or just wire to the blank switches on the panel inside

Switch pros are great units if you plan on having a bunch of different things wired up.

Me personally, I don't like doing wiring behind dash panels and through firewalls and whatnot- with a switch pro you do that part once and any project you add from then on out is a matter of plugging into the SP unit.

However if you're only ever going to do one light bar, a blank switch is gonna be way cheaper and easier.

It's one of those things where you kinda gotta decide before you take the leap.

@TailHook has a nice set up that I have graciously emulated.
    https://triggercontroller.com/trigger-controller-4-plus/

This set up beats the cost of the Switch pro, nothing needs to be mounted in the interior and I don't believe you need to run anything through the firewall. I only just ordered it myself so I have no idea what exactly is involved, yet.

Lights are controlled with either a wireless remote or a cellphone app for redundancy.

Looks interesting. Would save me about $240. Would have to do some research. Seems iffy to me if the batteries die or phone has trouble linking. I do like east install no firewall

This is available, should you notice issues regularly occuring, but I know Tailhook has had this set up for awhile and hasn't ripped it from his truck in frustration, so I think the remote should work well.

Having gone down the electrical wiring rabbit hole far further than I would like to admit, I think there's certainly something to be said about wireless control. It's simple, but EMI becomes something you now need to potentially worry about.

Is it something you'd ever run into? Maybe, maybe not. 99.9% of the time, it works every time. ;) Wireless control is one of those things that can be enragingly difficult to troubleshoot though, because you can't just throw a multi-meter on electromagnetic waves. And it might only ever happen when you drive near a cell tower, or there's some odd combination of circumstances where suddenly your accessories blink on you.

With that said my Switch Pros had a strange quirk in its voltage regulation where my oil pressure and vacuum gauges would occasionally cut off a few seconds after cranking the truck. Beat the hell out of me so I just hard wired into the fuse box. You're going to run into gremlins wherever you turn so just accept the zen of fighting gremlins.

In a perfect world I'd be getting an Alu-Cab or an RLD. Too bad money doesn't grow on trees.

Do you have a thread about it or anything you can add here? Is it as simple as connecting to the battery then running all wires to it from lights. Then using remote or app to control?

This was my Valentine's day fun. Told my wife I wanted to get dirty but this is not what I had in mind. Had to fix mother-in-law's drip system and dig up half her front yard. I also vacuumed her SUV and replaced some 10 year old fuzzy seat covers. I better get something later tonight for all this work. :(

You should know that the only time I get anything done is when you let me park it in your garage. I feel like a redneck doing it in my driveway
