Scheduled our date to get out Super Pacific X1 installed! Nov. 22nd. We're taking the entire week of Thanksgiving off, plus the 2 weekends for a total of 9 days off. Driving up to Portland during the first weekend, picking up the camper that Monday, and then adventuring on our way home for the next week. Crunch time now to finish up things before then, including the rear BAMF bumper that should be here in the next couple weeks.

Congrats for finally getting a date. I know your excitement.

We are both going wedge-style camper in the same month. My Canopy Camper ships out of New Jersey tomorrow!

Shit, I'm in Phoenix now until I start living out of the truck in March. I need to update my TW profile.

But yes, I definitely want to come check out your SP once you are back. It was a very close second for me when I was deciding.

Yep, no canvas material. Hard wall pop ups! I did not know about Hiatus they make a nice product! Wild wait time though!
    Thanks for sharing.

Yes, it’s not very heavy. They use 1/8” thick composite walls so it’s light and insulated.
Without the mattress in there. Two of us lifted up the camper and placed it on my Tacoma.

No rattling so far. The walls flex of course in high wind. They use little hardware to construct it. And the hinges are HDPE membrane I think

Might want to check that its not the same material Go Fast used for their early hinges. It was supposed to be good for one million cucles or something crazy like that and they basically all broke right away. They had to scramble and find a solution and then fix the hinges on every one they had built.

Ya stings just a little since the tire has about 4,000 miles on it!

So now I'm not sure what to do. No way in hell the budget can withstand going balls out and grabbing a full set of 285s or something, and the OE Bridgestone duelers are hard to come by because of the Shanghai sniffles.

So maybe I'll just grab a "meh" good enough HT tire, migrate the spare's Bridgestone off the steel wheel, and have the cheaper one stuck on the spare. I mean, it's not gonna spend much time doing anything but sitting in the tire carrier waiting to date out. :notsure:

dont worry bout it, atl-atl is mis-understanding the use of your word hinge. not even close to the same thing GFC used.

if your brothers other company is the folding kayaks, he completely understands the materials he is using.

Will get an actual post together eventually, but got the sliders finished up! Wanted the Square look and beefiness. Love how they turned out.

If any of you are interested, my buddy is set to make more of them, as well.
