Yeah we tried below which I prefer but it just sat too low. So the u-bolt nuts are facing up. Doug and I are going to make a different mount for it to eliminate that.

Yeah we just wanted to play with it and see how everything works. I am shocked on how sturdy it is without the poles.

My wife was able to open it and fully set it up then close it in under 5 minutes. So easy. Unzip the cover, remove Velcro straps and open it up. Two straps to secure the corners that go to the roof rack and done.

    I went with overland awnings.

Agreed. They give you the most adjustment, good shock clearance, quiet bushings and keeps a sealed ball joint. It’s what I’m running and the only reason I would switch is for LT for obvious reasons.

edit: if my damn road bike would sell Id be in a fully sooner.

I need a cheap bike so I can get into riding. Got my girlfriend a cheap Trek a while ago to get around downtown and she has been hassling me to get one so we can go ride together. She says to just get a cheap one like hers but I know me and I know this is going to end up an expensive rabbit hole hobby just like the truck and everything else I try. Any suggests on a really basic bike that won’t eat too much into my truck budget?

Wow, just @ me next time.

In all seriousness, I've avoided bikes like the plague since moving from Atlanta. I went down that rabbit hole as a way to avoid driving in the city, and know I'd have too much fun with the bikes that I won't break 3x a month.
