I use to watch his videos and originally he had a badass Dodge with pop up as his rig, but from what I remember he sold it with one of the reasons specifically being there was no pass-through to the cab. this is essentially a scaled-down version of what he had before.

Thats where I used to carry all my tools... in the Pelican on the roof. It does add up and make for a top heavy feeling. I moved my tools and water up against the cab in the bed to keep all that weight as low and center as possible. Then for the remainder of my roof rack.. I have the lightest thing possible I carry.. The traction ramps.

Yeah your set up is what got me thinking about what I would truly leave up there. Maybe a cooler....

    Stupid question.

I dont know what it is about this spring but birds have been shitting all over my truck.

Just parked at my house away from any perch. I feel like a crazy person.

Any suggestions at scaring them off? I got these dumb reflector things off Amazon, they dont seem to work.

Anybody have info on places to source a replacement motor and maybe a shop to do it, for a 2010 Cherokee with the 6.4 Hemi? Our office/shop Mom had a lifetime/forever warranty on it when they bought it new.. and they have had everything replaced under said warranty for free over the years. The dealer has started pushing back lately on the recent fixes, and now.. it needs a new motor, and they wont do it because the cost vs vehicle worth and instead are buying her out of the warranty and vehicle. They are keeping it (since everything else is new and is in great shape), and using the cash (10k) to drop in a new motor and continue on. I really only know of places that do JDM motors.

Saaaaame! Even the 18 foot pounds the spec is feels like a lot when you're loosening it, thinking "oh crap did I bugger this thing last time???"

Had a weird issue with the dipstick though- the little o-ring that holds it in place was completely perished and the handle was STUCK in there hard. Like pulling on it with a ratchet extension through the loop of the handle stuck. Had to twist it around and around before the o-ring let go, and you could see it was all chewed up. Fortunately standard -008 O-rings look to be about the same size (little smaller OD). I have access to viton rings at work so I asked to grab a few and inside sales said just take em, we have 6,000 in stock.

Funny, I’m not having much of a bird shitting issue, as they normally do that off the side of the roof peak on the house, but this year there has been a crazy amount of freaking spider webs on my truck almost every f’ing day, it’s like the lunar color attracts the stupid things to it.

Back in So Flo we used to hang old CDs up in the roof. The random reflections would keep birds away.
    Also, fake owls and hawks.

Silly thing is I am away from the house or trees, I can see where they are perching on the truck by the scratches.

Not a bad idea, where are some of those AOL CDs when I need em?

Same I have no trees around, but I’m the only 2 story on the block so they hang out on the giant peak at certain points of the day, annoying as hell.

Jesus, changing the blinker fluid in a tundra is rediculous.
