I havent read either of those, and have only passed through and explored those areas a few times. I do like them, but wouldnt call myself obsessed. But, if you're into that kind of thing though, my wife and I went and checked out the Redfield Cliff House out in the Galiuro Wilderness, there's a book called A Cave House Ranch that you might be interested in.

Going off your map and looking on google earth this looks exactly like the square and even has the dark spot thats in the middle of your map is a lake. But by the parcel measurements I found each side is 1 mile. So 4 square miles.

 

ypu should get CoViD and call out.

 

A square with sides equal to 1 mile in length is only 1 square mile, fyi.

1 square mile is equal to 640 acres. Which is a ton of land. Probably quite valuable as well.

 

First stop, Gallup, then Tohatchi, then Cuba, Dulce. Skipping Espanola

 

Yeah my bad haha But yeah looking at it looks like its a nice piece of land. There are a few buildings on it with a road/driveway cut through it. Dont know if someone is living on it or not.

I have similar thoughts about engineers and techs...designing things without the service component in mind.

Has anybody in here ever installed roof racks on your topper?

 

Yup, did a cbi rack on my ARE topper some time last year

 

Wow I didn't think those toppers could hold all that weight. Browsed through your build man and it looks awesome!

 

hahah well it depends on who you ask. Theoretically it will do fine as long as the weight is dispersed. I added more crossbars than what came with the rack so I have the tent weight spread out a bit more. if I had the option I would have done the one that was reinforced but they only made it for the turdgens. Thanks man I appreciate it!
