Petty sure my CV Axel is going, if not, already shot. Have any of you guys replaced one before? How hard is that to do yourself in a driveway

 

It's easy for me now. It'll take you maybe an hour and a half the first time you do it.

Now that's another can of worms right there. I personally am using NAPA lifetime warranty ones. I did however reboot an OEM as a spare.

It really depends on your pockets, your lift, how abusive your offroad travels are. It's really a grey area with a lot of strong opinions.

 

Napa HD.. lifetime warranty.. readily available across the country.. uses Core charge for swaps.

 

Glad i made the Napa choice on mine when i converted this pig! They seem to hold up very well, boots dont make any noise either.

My $120 lifetime warranty Napa axles are still doing great. No issues whatsoever.

 

Think ill pick up two of these and see if I can manage to knock them both out in day as an unexperienced wrencher thanks guys

These Coopers have been great. Good life and had them rotated and balanced ever oil change ~7500-9K

Easy to do. Hardest is finding the lock pin to seat so you can slide it out.

 

yes get the NAPA. I rock them aswell. They are great.

 

They are standard wheelers superbumps with a fisheye lense setting on my camera

 

IIRC there is no longer a standard Napa CV axle and then a Napa HD outer boot CV axle. They must have done away with them. Either way I’ll keep running Napa axles in my ole girl.

'Accidentally' jumped my Tacoma this past weekend.

I was very happy that I had my Superbumps. The landing was intense but soft in a way. The only damage was torn/bent cam tab edges thankfully

 

And thats how it begins...
