Well I know it just started… the year that is. But who’s going to KOH in February? I showed my dad last week and he’s been hounding me about when we’re going ever since.

Don't have much PTO racked up just yet with my new job. I've considered going to KOH but I feel like I'd either love it or hate it, no in between. Can't stand crowds, but it also tickles that particular itch to go get dusty and have fun.

I know it's late AF but I hope everyone's holidays were great. Just chilled Christmas week with the GF... she bought me a boonie hat and a rangefinder, and I bought her an EDC knife to replace her beat up Kershaw... she's definitely a keeper.:D

4Runner almost has the paid off mod, looks like about 6 months to go. I've been aggressively paying it down and the light at the end of the tunnel is here!

We're hopefully going out again. Work permitting. Probably for 4 days or so. We have a friend who has a place right there at KOH, by the lakebed, so we stay there.. we've gotten spoiled having an actual house. Lol

Stuff that costs more than my wife thinks.
KOH is definitely on the list to attend in the future.

But with a counterpart having quit, and me covering for my boss and others - won't be in the cards for this year.

It is really only the 300 rd that gets locked. All other roads just have signs posted that they are not maintained or patrolled during winter months so travel at your own risk.

yeah you can come up and there are back ways to get around the gates but takes a while. I recommend the chevlon lake rd or can even go down to the Young rd and find some nice spots in there aswell. If you take the Young rd and go through the town and keep going like you're headed to the back side of Roosevelt lake there is a nice spot at the top that over looks the valley and rd.

I was between the 179 and 122 on the map linked. Once your above 7k feet there was plenty of snow. Thats also were we got dumped on, I think they said 20" or so that area. I believe it.

You did get dumped on. Forest lakes got 20 inches in the last storm system. In comparison Flagstaff only got 12 and Pinetop-Lakeside got 8.

I am here in Lakeside right now. We got closer to a foot. Pinetop around 14" and sunrise got around 36".
