You cant run taco tabs on this subframe. This unit requires completely cutting off your stock lower control arm mounts. There is nowhere for taco tabs to go and you wouldnt want them anyway. This system is WAY beefier than the stock subframe with taco tabs. You can actually bolt your cams in place with this setup. It uses all new hardware as well, including the cams, nothing stock is retained.

I understand the stock mounts get completely removed therefore the new Kit has the new thicker locations. I wouldn't be reusing the TC gusset kit but wouldn't the actual squared off tab be beneficial vs a cam bolt??
I don't know any different so I only ask the simple questions as I learn. These tabs have been so effing nice retaining my alignment when I beat it up a bit on the trail.
These are just the questions to be covered, as dive into a new upgrade. I appreciate the info and your knowledge of this.

There are a number of substantial differences that render taco tabs useless with the JDFab subframe. This explanation will make more sense once you see it in person but Ill try anyway. First, the material of the subframe where the cams go through is twice the thickness of the stock subframe+taco tabs and additionally the "stops" for the cams are like 3/8" thick. Second, the cams can be bolted into place through the subframe. You will rip an entire wheel+brake assembly+spindle completely off of your truck before the cam spins inside its slot in the JDFab subframe.

Here are some pics to whet your whistle slightly

To add to @Atl-atl pictures. Those blank holes you see on his tear drop tabs. You drill out and put in 3/8's bolts to keep them in place. Once your for sure, for sure your alignment is done. Then like he said. Your breaking or bending stuff bad to get it outta whack

Does anyone have a recommendation for a stereo install place in northphx/Scottsdale?

I just need to swap out my head unit and a lot of places won’t install it you don’t buy it from them , but then they sell it for significantly more than crutchfield/Amazon

You can get harnesses from crutchfield that are plug and play, and their install resources are really nice. They make it very easy to DIY it if you wanted to save some money.

Thats what I did on the 4runner. Ran into just a small problem with the stock amp but it was easy to fix. Crutchfield helped allot.

I have an aftermarket pioneer installed. Just lost audio so don’t want to pay to trouble shoot it. Rather replace new unit. So I think I have a aftermarket harness already installed

factory was jbl system with sub. Previously changed the stock speakers and receiver out years back

Head units change the plugs so you'll still have to wire.

However if you have the JBL system and the hu turns in but no sound it could be the amp.

Yeah, it could literally just be a fuse. This happened to me with the second car I ever owned. Drove around for months without a radio. I thought it was something crazy. A friend was helping me one day and we checked the fuse. Bingo. Sweet music starting coming out of the speakers.

It was the main radio fuse in my case. It was located in the fuse block that was inside of the car (a Nissan Sentra). There was a fuse on the amp itself (car had an OEM subwoofer), but that one was fine.
