Not really, I did make it substantially lighter chopping it in half. I've banged it pretty good into a few boulders and used the winch to recover my brothers dodge. Bumper comes off with out the winch attached, which is super helpful doing maintenance on the rope or control module.

Yep, Needs re done. Just cant cough up the coin for a 1-3/4" die for my bender just yet. Mitered corners are welded strong just not as strong as a smooth bend. Held up nicely for this long.

Doesn’t look bad at all. I’m on the fence on building a prerunner style bumper or just making a mount bar for some Nacho lights…not sure the route I wanna go just yet

This is the 4th bumper i've made and they get better as i go. Start chopping fame mounts and making new tab location can get interesting. Lots of CAD(cardboard assisted design) and shapes!

Is it possible to put locking hubs on a stock taco? You know…without doing an SAS…

Someone on here makes a kit. Utilizes 1st gen parts which concerns me with the larger size of 2nd and 3rd gens. Or you do custom spindles with d44 hubs and custom axles. That’s how solo motorsports xlt kit is designed as well as I believe the dirt designs kit

Yeah I saw that with the solo kit which is what made me think. The solo kit is also the only one I’ve seen with custom spindles that have a horizontal upper joint?

Solo kit is some nice stuff. Couple guys running it this past weekend at the Mint400 Gathering.

Yeah I’ve looked at their stuff too. I keep going back to DKF but mostly because that’s all one of the engineers I work with runs, he’s got a beautiful luxury prerunner Silverado, a Lexus gx460 on a dirtking mid, and a bastard ram but idk what he’s got on that thing, it’s huge though. He can say enough about how good they have been to him and what not.
