Thanks man! I need to redo my retro's however. LED's are out everywhere on the halo's.

I love the Halo's but my first set lasted less than 6 months before I got leds that burnt out. TRS replaced them and just a few months over a year, 50% of them are burned out on all 4 halo's. I've been gearing up to build a new set of headlights and they will have lights in them, but it will be something I make where I can remove them and swap them if they die, without having to put the head lights in the oven again.

Got the truck back today...$2500 but only had to pay $500.

Toyota couldn't get the right relay to fix my headlights that the rats chewed through. Get home then start splicing wires to Jerry rig the lights until my insurance company sends me a check to change out the relay. Go to start the truck, dead as a door nail. Jumped it to the wife's car, no luck.

Just returning from Walmart now with a new battery in hopes that it's just the battery and not the alternator. $650 of my $2k vegas funds gone before I even get there

well the idea of halo's are gone for me. Unless I steal your CCFL's ;)

I was thinking more of adding lights into the reflector bowl, but behind the shrouds so it bleeds through but the bulb can't be seen. Those would be able to pop out from under the hood if you need to replace them.

Not as cool as halo's but never having to put them into the oven again will be nice.

Do you have a voltage meter?
If so, with the truck running, you should read 14'ish volts. If you're reading 11-12 volts then your alternator is not working or connected properly.

Had CCFL's in a pair of after market they are sexy but to fragile. They are glass tubes with Gas in them

Wouldn't surprise me when I was doing a ton of research when I was looking at after market headlight before discovering the Retro's I have bought a lot of head lamps..... But yes CCFLs are sexy. The thing I like though about my LED halos is they are like four chips to one and are the ones that change colors. So far so good

Yup. My CCFL's lasted until I took them out, almost 2 full years. One broke which was my fault and I still have the other that works. Josh's have been in his truck for years, not one issue.

LED's, ever set I have bought have had LED's burn out with in one year.

yeah its really hard to stray from the CCFL's after the years of abuse they have taken.. they really impress me.

regardless tho.. I will be redoing my headlights.. clean them up and add some little personal touches on the inside.

That's going to be hot and yah when I broke a CCFL it was in a accident, but this is freaking me out... If my LEDs start burning out I will have you guys hook me up with CCFLs or I might do a whole re build.

That will look sexy, the personalized touch
