Other than the 3rd gen guys I have never seen someone put bigger tires on a vehicle and expect to keep the mpg's the same. I am sure even with those he or she is still around 40 mpg. Although that would be very cramped sleeping quarters for overlanding lol

It's easy, your speedometer is set at exactly 50%, of course I recommend staying away from anything over 40mph.

Top Gear once ran/raced a Prius against an Aston Martin DB9. Prius runs floored, Aston Martin just keeps up. The DB9 got about its average 19 MPG, the Prius got 18 MPG.

    Soooo ... DB9 ... Tacoma ... ?

They did the same with an E46 M3 as well, with the same results.

I drove a Prius regularly, until just recently. 58.9 mpg average over the ~13,000 miles I drove it.

I am going to miss that kind of gas mileage.

I'm fairly certain that the Prius actually belongs to my former Captain (retired now) at my AFROTC Detatchment at ASU. He lives in the area, and I know he had a prius two years ago that he was planning on lifting and putting big tires on. At the time all he had was the cow horns on the hood.

No longer have to store a Miata in the 3 car tandem, started my garage cleanup project once again.

It's one of those things I've never fully done since moving in- always started, then stopped, lost momentum, got distracted, got too effin hot outside, etc.

We'll see how this iteration goes! :p

Anybody happen to know of a garage door pro in the south valley area? One of the little things that's bugged me since I moved in was the fact that the garage door leaks copious amounts of dirt and critters around all edges, and the weatherstripping is all perished and crackly now too.

I found a kit for about $300 that gives you different shaped tracks that push the door forwards to seal better when closed, but I'm not sure about going down that rabbit hole of tinkering with a very necessary part of my home.

Also now the entry (people door) likes to not close unless you turn the knob. Like the hinge spring will push it towards closed and then bang, it reflects off the strike plate because the latch won't push in. Something is fucky. I think I may have effed it up when I tried putting the longer jamb screws in. Beats me how to get it realigned.

Big garage door ... I have nothing.

Small garage door ... you are probably correct about the cause. Any change to the balance of the door frame can cause issues, especially with the hinge screws (do not ask me how I know).

    You try these:
    > Remove the strike plate on the door itself, then use a random-orbit sander at high grit on that surface to remove just enough for it to close.
    > Try replacing back to origin the new hinge screws, though I suspect you have a good reason for the "longer jamb screws" and would rather keep them.

Good luck with that small door, have patience. Over-sanding the surface OR stripping the screw-holes makes for a bigger PITA.

Yeah my longer screws were because someone in the area got a kick-in burglary and I thought "Oh I can fix that with some 3 inch screws to shore up that jamb" ... except I'm not the sharpest tool and clearly I buggered it somehow.

    Thanks for the tips!

The 3 inch screws are not a bad idea. Do not fault yourself for being unaware of this if you do not install doors regularly.

Wood doors can be sanded down, as can wood door jambs/frames. If you have an old wood door you could replace the entire side-garage-door with metal (no window for better security) which would eliminate all of the "current door" worries.

Also if you did not add these already ... put a couple of 3-inch screws if you can near the deadbolt on that side-garage-door to prevent that part of the frame splitting out under a kick.
