Missed this when you posted, Maybe too soon. She did start a new job not to long ago and may have some new prospects lol.
She doesn't have too many girl friends, women can be weird like that.
Best thing is to concentrate on You and Keep Busy. I do wish I stayed single a bit longer, Learn to enjoy Yourself again and do more fun things that You wanna do! The right one will come along in due time, no need to force it! Perfect time for as new project or 4R upgrade!

Turns out to be the Vacuum reservoir, helps maintain the engine vacuum in case some electrical has a fault? Mainly for cruise control and speed settings. Not too important when the cruise controls dont work but i'll fix the 1/8" lines for under $30

Oh yeah I was definitely just joking. Not exactly keen on finding myself in another relationship or even a rebound kind of thing. Plus I've never had any success at all by being "set up" either.

It was more just an offhand comment because she seemed really chill and down to earth- sometimes when "the gf" comes along on these kind of male-centric outings they might not say anything but you can feel them radiating boredom and discomfort.

Still have skids and brakes to do on the 4R, it's been warmer so those will likely happen soon.

When you're married they say something, and then they don't want to hear anything about guy things at all. :quickdraw: Which is fine cause you still got your stuff and she does her girl stuff.

Janet enjoys the outings, but she’s only good for a few hours of bumping and bouncing around in the truck. She likes all the crew from TW she has met so far, even after a few beers!
If I make it to the Rug rd trip she will sit that one out. Probably for the better as the terrain will not be kind to her comfort levels! Lol

Beginning of March I’ll be spending the weekend up in Williams, coming from the valley. How well maintained is 17/40/surrounding roads this time of the year in regards to snow? I would assume it would be passable in a FWD minivan, but always have the 4Runner as an option. Driven in snow plenty of times so that’s not a concern, just don’t want to get stuck or have any trouble in the minivan. Also not sure how frequently it snows up there in the winter.

The highways and main roads are well plowed. You just have to be smart about it.
The problem is the idiots who drive cars with bald tires or trucks without chains during the worst of the snow.

The biggest danger is not your ability to drive in snow or the the vehicle you are driving,
but rather the prius with bald tires that panic brakes in front of a semi doing 85 with no chains

The snow up here comes in waves, and the forecast is fairly accurate at timing
This winter has been pretty mild so far, with only a few snows and only one that was any hazard to travel.

Check the forecast and schedule your drive time several hours before or after the snow is forecast,
preferably not at night or early morning, and you shouldnt have any problem with any vehicle

Your minivan will be fine, dont forget chains, and so long as the snow doesnt get higher than your ground clearance youll be fine on the few roads in williams that arent plowed

No worries. Feel free to PM me if I can help with anything.

Also if you do have to travel when it is snowing consider going I-17 > SR69 to Prescott > SR89 to Ash Fork > I 40. It only adds like 5 minutes to the drive and minimizes your exposure to snow and idiots

    Good morning boys and girls.

I wanted to pass along a bit of info that I had until recently brain dumped.

CH4x4.com is a great place for custom switches. I kept waffling on a new switchpro, but lets be honest. They're damn expensive. I ordered two switches in place of four for $75. One is custom. A big savings that can go towards more goodies vs a $1k switchpro when I already have a dedicated fuse panel and the ability to wire things myself. Anyway, hopefully this helps at least one person.

I started with Rockers from them and Sierra Expeditions back in the day... but I havent looked back though since getting my OG switchpro years ago. I put my blanks back in as it also looks cleaner imo.

I have a feeling I'll go the SP route in time. But for now, its a cost effective solution. I do like how their unit is sealed, solid state, and has all relays all in a small form factor.
