I believe that the housing situation was ruined by str's. They are destroying my neighborhood as well. I am surrounded by 7 . I hope they all go bankrupt. Sedona has so many problems, not sure which one is worse. I refuse to visit, it has been destroyed.

I could go on about Air BnB. We live out in the country on a couple acres. During covid the house across the street went from a family with two kids to a split house with two Air BnBs. Didnt see that one coming at all and I hate it.

Yep It's fine, Leave it! Not like to was torn off or bent all to shit. Still functions and can get a hook into it. 2nd gen chain points was 1/4" plate cut out and shred an old strap before i knew about hard shackles.
This only happened once for me and off the bumper came to an HC from Coastal!:spending: Can you believe I still drag the damn thing. Departure angles for days and still tuck it next to boulders!

PHX is starting (trying to at least) enforce licensing, insurance, financial ramifications for owners of STR. Too many neighborhoods become parking lots for 500 of the "closest friends" of the person renting. Even Paradise Valley just below Camelback is not safe from the invasions.

I agree that the city of PHX is finally moving forward with some regulations. One of the str's across the street from me is chosing not to follow the new rules. They have a hearing this week. Fines could be coming in the amount of $1000/month. I sure hope so. Someone turned them in. It is owned by a company in Reno that has 2500+ rentals across the country. They paid 1.2 million about 2 years ago. There have been as many as 20 staying there at a time. My street looks like a used car lot. Most of them converted the garages into " game rooms", forcing street parking. I have very few neighbors, I live in a hotel. The people that rent are like the family that have never stayed in a motel 6. The first thing most do is go in the pool and Jacuzzi and start screaming. We have 1 neighbor that has young kids and are having a blast in the backyard on the weekends, this is music to my ears. Str's are like having new neighbors every week and a party to go with. Most have enough lights in the back yard to land a 747. Rant not over.

Yeah, put some hotelier rules in place, Ouray is doing that. Went to the Ouray Brewery after a backpack last year, saw these stickers. This is a google image, but yeah, they are out there.

Although I do enjoy visiting Sedona for the scenery around it, that place is a cess pool of libtards:mad:

Stuff that costs more than my wife thinks.
I take those projections with a grain of salt. I've gotten mine up as high as 343 miles projected, to now it sits around the like 268 mark, but it will also sit at that mark while I drive between 10-20 miles.

My "distance to empty" will go months sitting just under 300 miles after I fill up and then suddenly be 360+ after a random fill up.

Yeah holy crap man. So my experience is slightly clouded having only been there a few times... First time was August of 2016 when I was sizing up moving out here. Was pretty chill but definitely saw some tourist trap warning signs.

In between I think I went a grand total of 2 times.

Last time was late April of 23 when I was gonna propose to the ex but the ring was lost in shipping. Holy shit honestly the trip was kinda miserable and the only good part was her company and the Pisa Lisa pizza.

Yeah, don't think I really wanna go back at this point. It's a damn shame because it's so pretty out there.

Aside from the obnoxious noise long past a decent hour and random trespassing , my favorite is when they come hassle me because they have a problem “we locked ourselves out , can you help ?”

In retrospect, would you say that ring being lost in shipping was a godsend?

Mine always says 346 to empty. Always 12.3mpg Doesnt matter. 45 in town, 65 highway, 70? 75 12..3-12.5mpg
Sometimes when it says 20miles left, I'll fill up and it only took 18gal out of 21 so. Its whatever for accuracy really.

For 3rd gens, the first low fuel notification with the range comes in with 3 gallons left in the tank. The next notification asking you to refill comes on with 2 gallons left in the tank. I took it down to 1.5 gallons left the other day and it felt like the fuel
Pump was struggling to pickup. No idea at what point the motor will actually shut off but I’m sure someone around here has done it.

I vary between 16-18MPG on a full tank and can get trips into the 20MPG range. My defaults on the gauge cluster are Trip MPG and Live MPG (Engine Load) which monitor regularly. I don’t pay much attention to the Range, like @Sixthelement said, it’s useless.

My truck is relatively light compared to most but 35’s aren’t light. The combination of KDMax and 5.29’s really makes the truck’s fuel economy dramatically better than stock. I worry though what will be come of KDMax now that they sold the company. Could be better or could be worse, usually the latter when these kinds of things happen.

Edit: I only run 91 octane which helps fuel economy.

KDmax sold? I've been told my OG KDmax tune is outdated pretty bad and I need to look for a more updated tune. I dont disagree, buts its been fine. Are the newer OTT tunes and such that much better?
As said, 35s are heavy and so it my truck with everything done.

As far as the mechanics of the proposal? Yeah we got to the spot I was gonna pop the question and it was super fuckin bright and unseasonably hot so we were both sweating like hogs, getting sunburned, and had our sunglasses on so it'd probably have been pretty goofy awkward.

    :rofl::rofl::rofl:

As far as actually proposing to her in general? Nah, she deserved it at the time. We were stupid head over heels for each other and she treated me better than anyone ever had. Shit changes though, and things don't run on pure enthusiasm. Something something, twice as bright, half as long... Forget the quote.:notsure:
