We had a very successful trip to ole Canada for fishing! The weather was shitty, rained everyday and was pretty damn cold. Never hit more than 60. Regardless of the weather we fished are asses off and got a bunch of big fish! Pic to share and the Outpost we stayed on the lake. Three bedroom and offgrid, no cells phones, Tv, Radio, Wifi, Nada! They dropped us off via float plane on the dock with a week of provisions we requested and we were on our own! 45 minute boat ride to the main lodge and had trhe best time with my dad and brother!
Largest Northern was 40" Largest Walleye was 24" and the new lake record I caught was a Small mouth Bass at 22"!! My name made the white board in the main lodge:cool:
If you want a 5 star amazing fishing experience check out Maynard Lake lodge! Next year is already on the books and ready for more big ones!

Stuff that costs more than my wife thinks.
Adding this one to the bucket list. I'm gonna have to take my old man out there some time.

4Runner folks, does any one happen to have 1.5 lift coils that have an increased weight capacity they no longer need before I look to buy something else? I bought some T13 Wheelers coils that stated they were a 12% increase over stock on their website similar to my Eibach coils. They were not as I lost lift height after install in addition to speaking with wheelers on the phone. They are also for sale on the cheap if any one is in the market for a non increased capacity coil

The DBacks were doing a deal today for season ticket holders where we got Advantage Members points for doing a test drive at Sanderson Ford. I went and test drove a new Bronco, and it was pretty sweet! Never would buy it, but it had a lot of nice features, and the power felt nice. I was a little surprised that the interior isn't waterproof like a jeep. I asked what happens when if it rains accidentally with the top down, and the salesman just said "well don't do that."

Been thinkin about the snip myself. X was fixed so live fire exercises were not a concern, but I'm still a little hesitant to make a choice one way or the other.

Casually seeing someone else now and we're nowhere near that point but that paranoia of the "you're what?" conversation is still creeping in. :spy:

I was initially super intrigued by the bronco on paper such a more feature packed t4r and able to run 35s.
Finally reality hit and it's still a Ford. Then I saw all the tie rods snapping when wheeling went full retard into my tacoma build instead

My ole man isn't getting younger and we have talks of the future trips! Told him in the coming years to just say " I just Pissed" Vs " I need to Pee" and will just splash some water on him instead of helping him to the back of the boat! lol
With all the BS of the shop changes working for him and the family business, it's nice to just get out and leave the crap at home and just Get a Long. No BS, just fish! Shit talking is over size and proof of the fish in the boat. Second year doing it with us three and wouldn't change a thing. So grateful we still get along after so many years working side by side and the fucking hard headed fights we would have over such dumb shit. We have been more closer than ever the last few years and looking forward to more trips with Dad.
Get along with family no matter how hard it might be, Just fucking try and see what could change! Understanding some ppl never change, but it comes down to making better choices and sticking around.
Was a great trip if you know the history!

Ford did a lot of market research I wish Toyota would do, but then again if Toyota is bringing back the Celica, the MR2, and the SFR like the rumors say, I can't be too picky.
Of course I'm gonna take a wild guess that they'll be stupidly marked up unobtanium (y'know, just like the Celicas of the 90's and 2000's, completely unobtainable fuck-off flexes the dealer charges your dick off for. :jerkoff:)

Have you looked at adjustable perches? Sorry I'm not up on the specifics of your setup but IIRC the difference between stock and "extra load" is going from 200 to 250 lb/in spring rate and I *think* the extra load coils are just longer. Which an adjustable perch would do if you're not concerned about bottoming on massive whoops.

Hell ya brother, that’s what it’s all about! Love the new plan for bathroom breaks too

When my old man retired he bought a van and hit the road. He ended up in upper peninsula Michigan and I don’t get to see him nearly as often as I’d like. Hope we get a few more opportunities like what you just did before it’s too late. It’s amazing how happy and mellow he is now without the weight of the world on him from his line of work!

Finally found some time to get work done on the bumper. Nearly done, just detail work now. Was lazy cleaning up splatter so I’ll have to grind down and repaint a lot of it, still need to cap off some tube ends too.

Looks great man! If you think you're gonna still do work on it you can always get those hammer-in plastic end caps. Cheap and if you're ever going back after it you don't have to saw an endcap off and make your shit a 1/4" shorter...

AJ deflector shields are in! :D

Found this place all the way out in 'straya called KAON 4x4 and they make bolt head shields for those cross braces, they're supposed to get here in a few days. I'm thinking I am gonna run without the transmission skid, my level of wheeling doesn't seem to warrant it at this point.
Even after Fins N Things my transfer case / exhaust crossover was untouched so I ditched that, easy choice.
