I will keep a eye out for you and give you the valley wave:brianr:
Its so beautiful out there. I try to get on the bike and ride over there in the fall. All the leafs changing and perfect weather.
That lake is like that. I have gone over for the day and either catching my limit in a hour or being skunked all day.

Negative, I brought it with me on the rug rd trip as a second full spare. Its def used but will be a good spare till you want to spend the money on a new one. Typically when i buy new tired i keep two of the four and make them the new spares. I'll snap a pic when I get home, its on a stock 17" wheel that I'd like to keep.

They’re OME CS019R’s, basically the only off the shelf bolt on lift spring option for us short leaf 95-97 guys. Seen pretty good things and don’t have the same sagging reputation as the later 1st gen Dakars, but I might have to pull a leaf to get it level we’ll see.

    Looking good!!

Should do the Chevy 63 leaf swap. More work but probaby less $ then the OME springs all together. Plus miles of flex. Put that new welder to work!

If you’re doing it yourself, expenses are $150-250 for mount/hanger kit (unless you want to fab them yourself) and $100-150 for junkyard leafs. Shock relocation is more $/effort too, if you want to get the most out of it; could probably piece together the hardware for $100-150 and then shocks of your choosing. Gonna need a bump stop solution too.

I’ve got a ton of resources saved and know of a reference truck for comparison :spy: if @time623 or anyone is interested in doing this. It’s a badass mod!!

I definitely thought about it, it’ll happen one day but I just wanted a quick easy swap to last a couple years, I gotta stop riding around looking like one of these guys

it’ll be a while before I got time to rebuild the entire rear suspension geometry

Prep for sand hollow at the end of the month underway. Love these jack stands. Can get the truck fully drooped with tires on in the garage finally.

    But on the downside…..

That used main I threw in before koh didn’t last too long. Starting to be a recurring theme with this truck and busting main leafs. Wouldn’t be an issue with links :crapstorm:

Springs were starting to sag anyways after about 2 years of abuse. So gonna order up some freshies for this trip and keep this thing going.

Another great weekend at one of my favorite spots. Got about 7 miles of hiking in. Just wish I were closer I'd be up there way more than once a year

That poor truck, painted up like that and sent out on the streets. I feel bad for it.

Okay whoever thought making the chevy "bolt" logo have a section of the badge be the same exact blue paint as the car needs a sanity check.

I swear it looks like "BJLT":rofl:

I'm driving up behind one on my commute this morning so confused.

can someone explain to me the nitrogen in shocks and how low nitrogen would affect performance? im trying to do a bit of reading online and having a hard time understanding cavitation and aeration and how it would affect it.

The pressure from the nitrogen keeps the oil from wanting to change states. Less pressure can allow the oil to mix into the air in the system.
Think like if you have a water bottle filled to the brim with soda. Shake it. Won’t foam up as no room to expand. Dump some out leaving a space. Shake it. It foams up.
    Simplest answer.
