@Man of Steel TRD has done quite a bit of work for other members so it's highly likely you've been there.

I ended up using Patriotic Plumbing and Rooter and they did great work. I ended up having them entirely rebuild both of these areas, as my PRV wasn't working, main shut off was a little corroded, and in the backyard that was a whole shitshow of plumbing. Leaky spigot, unnecessary second spigot for misters, and leaking PVC to pool auto filler. I had him leave me a little copper weiner in the backyard for me to eventually tie into for an outdoor shower, so I'll get to try my hand at soldering.

edit: My PRV wasn't working because apparently the builders would use a dummy PRV and if pressure was too high, throw the rest of the PRV to pass inspection. Just some cost saving thing, apparently. So really there was no PRV, which was kind of a hassle with water blasting out of the bathroom sinks when you'd turn it on.

A classic AZ question: Who we using for windshields around here?

I'm concerned if I run through my insurance they'll just get Safelite. Last (and only) time I had a windshield replaced it was coordinated through a dealer while the truck was in for warranty work.

I haven't had to do a windshield with camera yet - so perhaps not the best answer, YMMV. Paying cash I like Clear Cut auto glass. They have done both my 2002 Tacoma and my daughter's 2010 Civic. I stopped using the insurance on the older vehicles since I was told one reason my premium went up was "claims". The only claim I had was windshield fixes, not even replacement. So, I buy the RainX kit for chips and pay cash for windshields. Haven't decided what I'll do when my 2019 Tacoma or the wife's Forester needs one. Not looking forward to that day and the costs I'm hearing for the calibration.

Used to work at an auto glass shop. AZ law they cannot raise your rate due to auto glass claims. That stated they do hold it against you when shopping for a new insurance company or if you change your policy at all.

I found this out the hard way. Did a claim to get a free chip repair and it bit me in the ass when I switched over to a new company 6 months later.

Same here, started shopping around for new insurance and selected that I had 0 claims, and the price jumped a bit when I finally submitted for the actual contract…

SAME. I didn’t think those counted as a claim. Had I known, I would have paid out of pocket since it was just a chip.

We were just talking about this at work. Someone mentioned it is a newer thing that glass may count towards claims now. Most likely because of the shear volume of glass claims and rising cost of parts / installation. They want to make it unattractive to make a claim.

I mentioned it when someone asked about ceramic but try Mr. glassworks in Tempe by Tempe marketplace.

    here are the google reviews
    https://g.co/kgs/14ZjQPm

    the website
    https://mrglassworks.com/

My buddy owns it. I have probably done 6 windshields there between myself and family/friends. Also 2 vehicles ceramic tint.

If you contact him tell him micah sent you. He usually always has a special if its through insurance. Either cash back or free ceramic windshield tint with windshield replacement.

Mr. Glassworks is coming out Tuesday to do the windshield on our little GLK350 and he is throwing on ceramic tint for free. I’ll probably do the truck in a few weeks as well.
I just switched to Farmers using an agent a friend referred me to and we saved like $200/month. We put the truck, GLK, camper and renters all together and got all the discounts. Geico and Progressive both did some shady shit to us on the GLK, so we are on our 3rd insurance company in like a year and half. Hopefully Farmers ends up being good and we don’t have to go shopping again. I hate it so much.
