Which do you like to carry for camping? 14 in hatchet (maybe not the best for "splitting") or 19 in ax (harder to control for small-scale chopping)? Brand?

The day I can snag one of these before they sell out in 2 minutes it will be the new hatchet. Right now have a cheap hatchet that hardly holds an edge

Also carry an ax 28-36 in length for chopping or splitting bigger or super hard woods

I should have mentioned that I don’t want to run ET nuts.

I'm a huge fan of using a "bushcraft" style knife to split wood by batoning it. Especially off the beaten path and while alone. I don't get enough practice using an axe or hatchet to inspire a lot of confidence that I wont lop a finger or toe off. that being said, I keep a fiskars chopping axe in the truck. Along with a couple of hand saws.

I have a Fiskars chopping Axe and X27 Splitting Axe. They both feel good but not impressed with the axe's ability to hold an edge. The Metal seems soft.

I've had a Fiskars X7 hatchet for years and it's been great. Have their longer chopping and splitting axes too.

Why not? Just curious. Check ARP and see what size studs they have. I think the ones I got for my tundra axle swap were for a Lexus is250 but don’t remember. They were longer than stock for sure. But still running et nuts on top of it.

Speaking of ET lugs and all that, I need to take some measurements do the math, I think I might be able to use prise's GX wheels with a 10 or 15mm hubcentric spacer (the "shim" type) to effectively match the stock T4R offset.

I think with the OEM nuts I actually have extra thread depth to play with vs cone seat.

Discount, after 9 years of servicing my truck, told me the other day that they couldn't rotate my wheels and tires because there wasn't enough threads on the OEM Toyota locking lugnuts on my OEM TX Baja wheels. They tried to sell me a new set or they wouldn't rotate my tires. I told them that I'll jut do it myself, and they gave me the lugnuts for free. Anyways, apparently I've needed ET lugnuts for 9 years, and I've never lost a wheel or had any damage.

Wrapped up the Jack handle yesterday. Hind-site i wish I did more than a 5” extension but it’s not a race truck and it’s likely rarely going to be used(hopefully)

I can now say I’ve seen it all. I’ve seen a sad person drive a Ferrari and a Tacoma…

I almost pulled a spare brake light bulb from my glove box for him.

These with the Muteki SR45R lugs...
    https://www.wheeladapter.com/product/extended-wheel-studs-for-toyotas
    Muteki SR45R

ARP have to be modified I think; Can't recall about Dorman...

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/extended-wheel-studs-installed-which-brands-work.777986/

edit: I see the ones from Japan you linked will work without modifications. Might be easier just to order those. The ones I linked were recommended to me a while back. :notsure:

Don't buy anything Dorman that's mission critical like holding a wheel on.

I used to be one of ther PMs back in the day. I doubt they've improved in the decade plus since.
