Pretty much exactly what it is, similar to Sheeps Bridge.

I rode my dirt bike with a buddy from flagstaff down casner through sedona and back up schnebly.

Hadnt done schebly in a while and I was quickly reminded why.

way to many unfun rocks, lots of idiots stopped at the worst places or driving like its GTA.

cool spot but itll be a while until im back

Last time I was on Schnebly, I recall watching the Pink Jeeps just smash and rut everything in site. They were running OME shocks and those things couldn’t keep a tire on the ground for the life of them. The tourists in the back of that Jeep never stood a chance.
I even saw a few Jeeps with all the gear and Schnebly Hill trail badges on the side… As said previously, it can be done in a stock CUV at not much of a slower pace than the Jeeps. Never again.

Well ... the east end is fun ... should have turned around but turn-around points get scarce for longer wheel-base trucks. Even the Sedona-based Jeep tours stop well-short of the bad section near the viewpoint. Still ... I wanted to complete it because I did learn from it, like the twingy inside 90-degree cliff-dropoff section of Senator Road.

Whatever does not kill you scratches your steel skid plates ... maybe collapses your LCA/UCA ... :anonymous:

My truck survived, I am pretty sure, because it still has oil and sits level. But it is still f*-ed up road. I cannot image how the "cargo wagons" that ran it and built the fortune of a man named Schnebly made it without breaking the cargo.

Now ... I can say I did it.

Dude I freaking hate that. There were some spots in Moab like that. I'm just thinking please let's freaking get this over with. I believe it was the approach to the Shaefer canyon trail.

Views were gorgeous but I'm flopping side to side listening to my TRD Foxes cry out for the sweet release of pavement.

I wonder when I should rebuild those, as a matter of fact. They're creakin but they ain't leakin. About 40K on them at this point.

Yeah ... one section (about 200 ft) of Senator road was rocky like that. But still dozens of miles with few escape points on Senator was not fun.

I did not pull over to get the "overhang" picture on Schnebly because I just NEEDED to get through the last 5 miles and get back to pavement. I even followed a Pink Jeep to follow that line just to let my brazzled brain rest. Yes, that may seem "wuss", but I can only be "so brave" for now.

Would Wildpeak AT4 with no rimlocks take less than 20 under those side stresses?

I would like to tell you yes, but I don't want to be responsible for the slight off chance you roll a bead. I will say I've been running 18ish pounds on all trucks for at least 20 years with no issues.

I usually run 12-15 depending on the truck and terrain. Never had beadlocks. Never lost a bead. Wider tires on a narrower wheel is the poor mans beadlock.

    This. ^^^

17x7 wheels and a skinny 35 at 12-13PSI. Never had an issue, even at higher speeds. Also depends on sidewall load rating. An E load can go lower than a C load due to the extra rigidity.

True, but the C will flex much better and give a better ride over rough terrain because of that fact. So you can air down less with a C than an E. Or air all the way down with a C and get the extra cush ride. It blows my mind that people run E rated tires on Tacomas and 4Runners. The load rating of most C tires is ~2755 per tire. You arent going over that capacity even with a loaded up overland rig.
