LOL I'd imagine @Atl-atl didn't get that fun thing for its clear coat. However, this is what I'd imagine driving that truck through some of the AZ trails is gonna be like

Hahaha my next question was going to be "how tight is the trail?"

I dont think a scratch here or there would matter. But I know how wide he is vs my 4runner and I got a bunch of them with a few pretty deep.

Honestly I think your truck would eat that trail up. There's definitely a couple branches that won't play nice, but that would be about the only thing I'd be worried about, if memory serves correctly.

I tried to divide it out evenly. I got that one on my driver side from a half inch thick branch that looks like some signed their name down the whole side of the runner.

I will likely use a deep-pour epoxy from a different more expensive source, no offense to your grandfather. But I have only one flower and one invitation.

And according to usage notes some epoxies are design for "deep pour" (2 inches at a time) and some limited to shallow pour (1/2 in at a time) because of the "exothermal characteristics" that can fuzz-up too deep a pour. $150 "deep pour" epoxy tend to be created for exothermal of that much epoxy, less expensive ones may not.

No offense taken. I noticed when looking through it that it mentioned a rather shallow pour base, but wasn't sure if that was just because of the size of the product, or because of the product itself (I'm clearly no expert).

Sounds like you've got the right idea in mind though!

"Exothermic" means it can burn the mixing cup if left sitting around, or may not properly "gel" if excess heat does not disperse properly. But that is one reason you wear decent gloves. Some are designed to "exotherm" better than others at depth.

Originally I was going to buy a Prospector XL but decided to build my own in a similar vein. Mostly because I didnt want the truck to be another 8" wider than it already is.

Haha, mines just as big in terms of height and tire size. Its just narrower and will have a much better approach angle because Ill be using a power wagon specific bumper instead of the diesel truck stuff thats out there and hangs way off the front of the truck.
