Stuff that costs more than my wife thinks.
This. If the TW mods don't need Tacomas, I think you can be spared in the AZ BS thread outside of the desert.

Hell, @KingOfTheNorth barely can say he lives in AZ, at least during the Summer months, and we still love him.

No kidding? If I had only known. I saw quite a few people in kayaks. I parked back in SB Cove and launched from there. It was very hot when I left at about 1:30.

I almost went there but went to the Flats instead. I was out by the last set of no wake zone bouys before you start to go up the river.

    AC Question,
AC only works on full blast, which is fine when you first get in to get it cooled down. Any other setting it turns off. Any Suggestions on a starting point? Freon?

That happened a few years ago in our Honda. It ended up being the blower motor resistor, I believe the highest speed setting bypasses the resistor.

Never dealt with Toyota but that's how my Silverado was years ago. Resistor swap handled it.

Even just mounting the roof rack gubbins I was sweating my ass off today. Starting to think maybe a split mini in the garage is a good investment, but I don't have the handyman chops for that.

Blower motor resistor. Mine did this off and on for a while.. then I finally cut it out and spliced in a new one and replaced the blower motor at the same time. Pretty easy to do. First thing you can do is unplug the resistor and check if it's burnt up (mine was) and or wiggle the connector while plugged in to see if it cuts in and out (mine did this as well). Started with a "bad connection" and when I would move it around, it would work for a bit. Finally took it apart and saw the burnt/shorted out signs on the plug.

Seriously... At 117° and parked in the sunny driveway all day, my AC runs hard from start to finish. I think I'd have to drive it an hour to get it to settle in at 74/76° and start to throttle back.
I have vent shades and have started leaving windows cracked when parked to at least let it be closer to ambient and not bottled up like a greenhouse.

Full blast gets a straight 12v power and all the other settings do is feed through the different stages of the resistor to drop the fan speed. If the fan is good on full and nowhere else, it's the resistor.

For anyone that was making plans. Labor Day cinders trip is getting postponed until later in the month or early October. Had other plans get shifted forcing the change of dates. I’ll share once new dates are confirmed.[l

Literally everyone beat me to it, but just wanted to pile on the train. This happened in the old ass Pontiac that got me from Georgia to AZ. Wasted wayyyyy too much money replacing components of the A/C system to find out it was just the resistor.
