    That's direct knowledge from my insurance agent. She basically told me it's up to the agents discretion whether or not to deny a claim. A good agent from a good company likely won't deny it but companies like geico, progressive, esurance etc are all iffy.

    I can also tell you from experience investigating fatality collisions. There will be a civil lawsuit and your ass will be destroyed in court by a good lawyer. Just throwing the info out there as something to consider when buying travel trailers. I see it every day with little SUV's pulling trailers so heavy the rear end is bouncing off the bump stops at 75 mph on the freeway. People just don't consider the legal side of it.
