Electricity is applied to a filament, or light emitting diode, converting heat energy into photons......in a nut shell.

In off road applications, you want to direct the photons to an area in which you want illuminated.........with light.....not spiritually.......

The balancing act is......You want to illuminate the obstacle......and surroundings, without illuminating things that can affect your peripheral vision. OR illumination with an intensity that kills your night vision.
    To put it another way.....
50" light bars that light up your hood = Bad....

Lights that light up the "work" area = Good

Flood lights, spot lights, driving lights, etc, need to be used for the function they serve. Cmacks lighting set up, with the floods aimed down, more twards the side of the vehicle, do exactly what he wants from them. To illuminate the surrounding area.

aight...that wasn't Cmacks truck in the picture.......Anywho....THe Baja Design lights on Stormys truck can be changed out to spots with a change in lenses, so as to not have as much glare on the hood.

If you trade BD lights for Rigids, you should be beaten with a tire iron. Change out the lenses, or/and reflectors to get the pattern you want.

Remember folks....snorkels were designed for DUST.......not running under water.......except......in the Navy.....I think they use them for under water stuff..........
