I just order two timing belt/water pump kits. Still planning on doing it in the fall, but I have the parts on the way. You need to get things into gear and your kit. We will do a Timing Belt mod day when it cools off.

Play with the ground setup on the CV. I've heard that hid lights can cause interference but not led.

Only hen the LEDs are on there's problem?

Sounds like static interference from the LEDs, and I'm guessing through the ground. Run the ground on the lights to the negative terminal on the battery and the CV to the truck

Any lights can do this, there shouldn't be a problem with the lights themselves

LED are worse for EMI/RFI than HIDs. It is usually the cheaper LEDs with a plastic shroud that have the issues.

Grounds are good, I have checked them and even run independent to verify. When the lights are on they create so much EMI that the radio can not receive anything on 70cm, 2m isn't as bad. I just got a set of chokes to put on and see if that doesn't fix it.

When I first contacted KC on here, they said they shouldn't be doing that, they have protection installed, and that when he got back into town he wanted to work with me on it. Since then, radio silence from them.

Let me know what combination of beer (or whatever drinks) food and $ would interest you? I have another swamp cooler i could bring if it still works.

Maybe I'll just drop it off at sierra and just get it and the alignment done.

O shit. I got my timing belt done a while ago because it was 40k overdue already and the belt was in really bad shape. I didn't know you still planned on doing them.

What do i owe you for the kit? That's my bad

Nothing, I now have two 3.4s in my garage. I need both kits. We are all good. Did you pay to have it done or do it your self?

Phew, scared me there. Forgot you just picked up a 4runner. Last i remember was talking to you about ordinary 2 kits and doing them.

I paid to have it done. I don't have a garage or good work space or the knowledge to fix anything if i messed something up while doing the timing belt.

I also had my valve cover gaskets, plugs and wires done since i was already having the timing belt done.

    Completely understand.

I have the valve cover gaskets and spark plug tube gaskets for my truck, need to get them for the T4R before I do it.

You can come learn and hand out beers when I do mine.

Hell must be freezing over. My wife never takes leftovers for lunch and she's my biggest food critic. It's not very often she even asks for seconds. Maybe I'm finally shaking all the "Cali" out of her lol
