You know I kinda like the RocketBunny widebody on the FRS/BRZ, but with that color and those wheels, ick.

This looks infinitely better, IMO. Still a chocolate and vanilla sort of thing, but no trashy/stanced wheels plus a really unique color to stand out with the outlandish bodywork makes a world of difference.

Oh 100% agree. The ugly wheels and the fact that it appears to be on stock suspension makes it hideous.

Ehhh, I'm OK with the rivet look if pulled off properly. It's supposed to be evocative of a car put together in a garage where the most effective & simple method of putting nasty huge flares on a 911 or a 240Z was to sawzall the fenders to clear the huge tires, then rivet on something to keep them mostly covered.

My miata has both its rear spoiler and its hood louvers riveted into place, as those were the most effective and sturdy method:

Note that none of those are "fake" blind rivets with no back to them, though.

I think the problem is people saw rivets, thought to themselves, "wouldn't this look awesome on ANYTHING and EVERYTHING!?!?!?" and proceeded to bring faux rivets into the rice aisle trash bin.

Which is why I searched high and low before finally settling on getting a pair of OEM fenders for my Taco- those were the only reasonable looking non-faux-riveted on the market!
