AZ BS Thread 4.2⁰

I actually started. Only lasted a couple hours in the heat. I then went to Harbor Freight to get a tool cart, then came home and set up my canopy. I'll need to get going a little earlier Sunday.

 

If you have a 17" steelie to part with I might could use one...

 

I had to buy one of these years ago. the green stove ones last 1-3hrs.. definitely bring a big tank. Every one loved it, there is a grill for it so you can cook also.

 

I should have the 315 off of it tomorrow then the wheel is all yours.

 

Finished up this little project today. Woodworking Brand for my Grandpa's birthday this weekend. Finished it off with a Heat Resistant handle from McMaster.

 

Probably a dumb question, but wouldn’t that be backwards? Or am I dumb haha

correct. JM when stamped. obviously needs to be backwards. Hopefully it works well! Gonna heat it up and test it later today on some scrap wood... Then brand the box its going in.

 

I have one for my stuff when i do woodworking...they are handy

 

Been doing a little word work at a job the last few days and forgot how much I like it. Wish I had the space to do stuff at home.

 

How well does it work? Do you happen to know the height of the raised section, or spacing between characters? My main concern is that its not tall enough, and that the spacing between the J and M is too small, and that both may contribute to some bleeding/heat transfer. If that makes sense.. lol

 

need to hire a pro to lay pavers for a hot tub. and someone else to do the electrical. any recommendations?

 

heres mine. Doesnt need to be tall. Burning brand takes some learning but not bad. Softer wood is harder to brand.

 

You might have an issue with the handle being close to the brand. I put some pressure on mine to get good contact and solid burn brand

 

Also some woods stain the surrounding area with heat and smoke, easy fix is to sand down the branded area and it cleans up nice.

 

Thanks for the tips! that looks great too. I'll just let him try it out, and whatever adjustments need to be made, I'll knock out another one.
