    Finished up this little project today. Woodworking Brand for my Grandpa's birthday this weekend. Finished it off with a Heat Resistant handle from McMaster.

    correct. JM when stamped. obviously needs to be backwards. Hopefully it works well! Gonna heat it up and test it later today on some scrap wood... Then brand the box its going in.

    How well does it work? Do you happen to know the height of the raised section, or spacing between characters? My main concern is that its not tall enough, and that the spacing between the J and M is too small, and that both may contribute to some bleeding/heat transfer. If that makes sense.. lol

    You might have an issue with the handle being close to the brand. I put some pressure on mine to get good contact and solid burn brand

    Also some woods stain the surrounding area with heat and smoke, easy fix is to sand down the branded area and it cleans up nice.
