It has airbags. Its squatting in the pic showing off. The speed bumps stand no chance, and neither do the milfs and cougars.

Depends on where you live and how it goes down

A lot of the folks who got flooded out have been absolutely fucked over by their insurance companies

Hwy 89 and 180 flooding out and getting closed is getting pretty common.

West Flagstaff and Doney park Neighborhoods look like warzones with all the sandbags.

Rain keeps coming. Hopefully no more new damage but well see.

I have always heard that flooding is an insurance nightmare. When it comes to my body, Id rather drown than burn.

My understanding is flood damage is one of those things where all the damage isn't immediately apparent. Mold is probably the big culprit, and a pain in the ass to deal with right. ($$$$$)

I'm not an insurance expert but if mold abatement is done improperly (eg in a house) is insurance still on the hook for medical issues?

Many moons ago I had the opportunity to buy a flood damage/salvage title Acura NSX for a laughably low price... oh how I wanted that thing, but I knew it was going to be so much work to make it right. In retrospect I probably should have gone for it.

I’ll chip in to help either way.

“Well, we could use the fire” would also be hilarious.

Its common for homeowners to say they wish their house had burned instead of flooded

ETA I feel bad for these folks

Damn, hopefully we can get a state of emergency declared which I think would open up FEMA assistance and possibly allow people to get insurance payouts since they probably weren't in a flood plane when they bought/insured the house. Natural disasters are a game changer.

I thought Ducey declared that with the fire and it hasnt been rescinded? Not sure though.

From Florida, after hurricanes. Doesnt matter, I get flood insurance. Even if your in X zone, 1000yr status. Get it. Great, its cheap like $300 a year. Get it.
After Hurricane Andrew, they tried saying, oh your roof wasnt recently inspected. Thats why it flew off, and your house flooded out. So, because it flooded from rain, thats not covered. Shit like that and it continues.
I'm sure the same with peoples houses here, oh, flood? Thats not covered. Anything to take the $$ and not pay out. I'm pretty jaded by insurance.

Yeah it’s not $300 a year out here. We shopped around when buying the house and it’s like $4-5k per year.

We got ours for under $2k.
That being said its through FEMA, with a high deductible and I am sure there are a hundred ways they have to deny our claim. Also it took 30 days to take effect.
