Dealt with multiple evacuations and flooding due to Hurricanes on the Texas Gulf Coast. Shit sucks, no matter where you think water can't get to.. it can and will fuck up all your shit for years to come if not dealt with correctly.

I feel we technically aren’t but we are on the edge or something. Idk it was hard enough getting homeowners insurance when we closed on the house because it was during the fires. I think they blocked people from adding/adjusting their insurance like a day or two later because the fire

    Dislike x2

that would be my luck had we got the flagstaff place.

If my place in the valley floods the whole entire valley will be under water. Keeping my $200 and buying 1/2 tank of fuel and 1 box of ammo.

We could use the water though.

Any geological guys here? Where does the water eventually run off?

Supposed to get some good rain down here tonight.

Finished box 3 last night, total time so far 18hrs and 40mins of building. 1 more box for what looked like another 15-18 bags to build my. Thinking I can have this wrapped up in under 25 hours.

Non lego person here/ real question: do you super glue it together as you go? Or do you take it apart and do it again like a rubric cube?

Nah legos fit together snugly enough that you don't need glue. Those circular ridges on top are interference fit with the bottoms of the bricks.

Super disappointed with the mounts... they don't stay parallel to the ground once you tighten them and they're kinda weaksauce. Not feeling it, and not feeling chasing my tail routing the wires.

Ended up just ordering a pair of the cali raised low profile ditch light brackets. Live and learn I guess!

Dropping it will snap it apart, but such is the peril of legos. Many children's tears have been shed over legos that detonated upon hitting the floor.

I'm surprised you never ran across them as a kid, at least tangentially.

I could, but that's a lot more effort than I'm willing to put into it, considering I don't have a 3D printer or any 3D modeling experience. I was willing to go a bit off the beaten path, but honestly these days I realize I need simpler solutions, not more complex.

my dad had a strick no lego rule.

went to a friends house and he DUMPED a massive bucket of legos on the floor and I was like “nope, fuck this mess”

I did get some neat space legos as a kid. They were rad but they just sat there.

I was an “outside” kid. Didn’t get a video game until I moved out. X-box. Played it maybe 12 times. Wasn’t my jam.

    I want:
    Real cars
    Real Guns
    Real titties

Stepped on a lego at my brothers house. I know why my dad hates them.

Nah, this set is nearly 7000 pieces and is $850, although I don’t plan on taking it apart ever, it’ll sit displayed but not really touched. Some people may glue, but most people build and display and if they want to sell collectors want them to be able to dismantle if they want. You would be shocked by the % increase in value of lego sets, especially Star Wars stuff either new in box or built but 100% etc. for me it’s just a random small hobby I’ve been doing to have something to do while the kids build there sets etc.
