Keep a torch handy in the garage.. along with that blacklight. Torch is good for both Widows and Scorpions.. that's my method anyways. Or just crush em if possible.. I also spray the perimeter of the house somewhat regularly.

Also, I got the worst case of poison oak EVER down in Eaton area while hunting. I used a climbing tree stand to hunt a field, and it must have had a vine on the back side that I didn't see. Got it on my hands, then transferred to my face, stomach, and legs. I fought it for 2 weeks. As soon as it broke inside the underwear band, approaching Captain Wahoo, I saw a doc quick...

That's an egg sac she's protecting. It's kind of unusual to see them in their web during daylight hours. Their bite is very painful but usually not fatal. The Brown Recluse is the dangerous one.

I'll take the recluse bite over the black widow. Idk what it was maybe cause the black widow got me in a more meaty part but was way worse

The thing with the brown recluse is it's venom attacks and dissolves tissue and the wound just keeps getting worse and worse if you don't get medical attention. I hate spiders!

She was in a splicing pit that we were pulling wire into. Popped the lid off and there she was.

Poison Oak is brutal. Its kicked my ass multiple times.
Technu is the answer. If you can wash with it within 12 hours of exposure it gets the oils off your skin that cause the reaction.
(when you see symptoms its mostly too late)

I use this stuff anytime I think I may have come in contact. Works on clothes and gear too. Usually you can find it at CVS, Walgreens, ect

Black Widow bites can be fatal to kids; and adults if you have other issues and or even allergic to them. Had a friend get bit by one. Made him very nauseous and sick for a few days.
I knew a older gentleman that lost his big toe to a brown recluse in Florida.
