If you think about a lot of large commercial pools they are mainly tile. From what I learned it's because if installed properly a tile surface will never have to be refinished like pebbletec/gunite surfaces and you won't need to do an acid wash every few years. Hotels that are near a beach, sand can get embedded in the plaster and then it looks yellow and unclean so nicer resorts spring for all tile for lower maintenance cost (a lot less labor). Out here in the desert the same thing can happen even with pebbletec with it being extremely porous. I don't know how much more expensive all tile is I just know that is typically the detouring factor for most people. My plan in +/- 5 years is to build a pool pretty much like yours and then tile it all. Complete with two swimming lane style strips of iridescent tiles going down the length of the pool.

My uncle used to do backyards and if you do tile, don't go cheap. Cheaper porcelain tile is on par with Pebbletec per square foot installed but has a tendency to chip over time. He liked stone builds and they looked phenomenal but I was not ready for that price tag.

Anybody know of a person/shop that is really experienced with tig welding? Im going to need a gas tank welded up pretty soon for my next 4x4 van conversion and I definitely wont be doing it myself. Im willing to pay a racecar shop or high end fab shop to make sure its done correctly.

Reminds me of that time I had just gotten to AZ and I hadn't met any of you yet, but I went to Overland Expo and later realized someone (forget who by now this was 2017) had taken a picture with me in the background.

Stuff that costs more than my wife thinks.
We were out celebrating the grandfather in law's 90th at Gila River Casino, so had to miss expo, but will be there next year for sure!

In the interim, my sales team supports the US and Canada, so we're working a small cohort team today to support the neighbors of the north, and some jackwagon forgot to turn on the phone queues. Soooo we're paying and not playing. It's fantastic.

    Happy Memorial Day! :oldglory:

That guy with the orange truck is a jerk.

Keep an eye out for their next video. Hopefully it’s what we filmed ripping through the cinders after the expo.
