No mtb shorts. They have the chamois insude but baggy on the outside. Your balls will thank you along with your taint .

There more of like a board short material so it’s got stretch especially in the crotch, then it’s some times comes with a pair of boxer like things that have padding for your ass and jewels.

And yes for the price and level of riding you will be happy with that bike, you out grow it and want to go big with a $2k-10k bike, you will get your money back hands down. Like the ad said only down side is the front shocks leaks, if it’s not a cheap or easy fix get an older used one for $50 at that point.

 

Same, in Delaware during the winter, skin tight pants and try your best to stay warm and not fall over in any creeks or snow.

So you can do whatever shorts you want the biggest thing is the boxer like inserts, you can buy them separate or some come with the shorts:

 

Honestly I think a T4R with the back seats removed would be an awesome camping rig. No RTT to mess with, lots of space inside....roof rack, awning +/- annex and you're good to go. You have a nice place to sleep, sheltered cooking area outside, no tent to fold away soaking wet. I can't find a downside.
