Damn that’s pricey. Just curious though. Someday after I’m not on a college budget maybe.

Ooof, too spendy for me. Gonna poke wheelers and headstrong and see what they can do for me on the unis.

I like the quotes around used. ;) I nearly bought a pair long ago but then I was like ahhh who am I kidding, I don't go on difficult trails. It would just be aesthetic window dressing.

When can you go fast on that road w/ out taking a beating?

The chute is nasty when theres just a tiny bit of snow left in it. Its pretty much a super easy rock climb route when its dry IMO. Probably turns a lot of people around. Would be interesting going up it with an axe and crampons but I don't own any lol

Same. I would consider some if they came up for sale for a whole lot less than they retail for but for the places I regularly get into, 33's skids and the skinny pedal are more than enough. By which I mean parking on curbs at the mall.

Urban wheeling FTW. I mean, sometimes you just pull into one of those parking lots that you think is gonna be connected, but it isn't connected, and you're a lazy POS... it's really just a matter of hopping the curb, navigating between the landscaping, and dismounting on the other side...

Not sure definitely not in the mood to go back up there. The rolls and butcher are still probably really muddy and might not be so great for 2wd.

There are two times that come to mind when urban wheeling is mentioned. The first is in my brothers apartment complex. There are 2 halves of the same complex but they are completely divided, you have to go back to a main street to get into the other half. Its dumb. I didnt feel like going around so I drove over one of those little parking curbs and the rocks then the opposite curb. Didn't damage any plants or anything so :notsure: no harm now foul.

The 2nd was when I had a suzuki DRZ rush hour traffic + motorcycle + AZ summer blows. Took a side street to try to keep moving but it was just as bad. BUT I spotted a walkway that went into a neighborhood street, perfect! Turned that way and zipped right down it. They were stairs. No problem for me but my buddy who was following a little close on a cb500 was PISSED when he went clunking down them

I'm not sure I want to do that full traverse. Got a lot of really exposed spots where falling isn't an option. I'm also a little out of shape.

Working on that though! Went to Somo today and hiked 4 miles with my dog. Gotta get us both in shape! I'm starting extra easy to let her paws toughen up and not get torn up.

I don’t own a franchise, but I do run the one in Ahwatukee. They kind of changed it recently and there’s actually not anymore franchising going forward. There’s similar opportunities for those who work for the company, but technicalities have changed a little bit

Yeah I tend to shy away from SPC because of their ball joint. Your average alignment tech already looks at you like you have 3 heads when you ask for camber and caster different from what the 'puter says, trying to explain the way the SPC joints work feels like it would be a lot like explaining general relativity to a sloth.

I guess I could seek out a specialty place for alignments... The one shop I knew that always took the time to do a good job is back out on the east coast.:rain:

Gotcha, I tend to adjust my spcs on my own based off the alignment specs and then go back and use my lifetime alignment. I know people shy away from the ball joints but several people have proven that you can get more articulation out of their ball joint than you can with a uni. I also like the fact that ball joints are sealed and greasable, easy and cheap to replace and can easily be repaired on the trail. It is hard to find an alignment tech that is savvy enough to understand the adjustability but it's worth it to me. The new sealed x axis joints appeal to me as well over a standard exposed heim. Just a suggestion though.
