    Way too late...:spy:

The heat shrink I have isn't big enough to fit, and I scratched the sticker like the first second I got the clamp even near the resi.

Also no one else does it anyways... look at all the pics in the thread lol

The only thing I wonder is why no one uses liner clamps.

I got camburg partially because I think they look cooler and partially because they have a 1.25" uniball instead of a 1" uniball.

There is no wrong choice in the reputable brand's UCA's though- Total Chaos is great stuff and I wouldn't hesitate to run them.

(Pick your color on shocks and UCA’s as long as it isn’t icon)

Here’s my opinion for what it’s worth.

I run camburg because I wanted the ball joint style upper. I’ve had heims on my jeep and they squeaked like crazy they would quiet down for a week with tri flow but it would come back so that pushed me away. (Someone will comment there’s have never squeaked and proper maintenance is key, that’s great but not what I wanted) Other reason I went ball joint is if something broke I should be able to get a new ball joint somewhere in town. Another reason is I’m honest with myself now days, the truck sees 90% street 10% dirt so I didn’t see a need for uniballs. I wish it saw more but I’m just too busy.

    Nice work!
I have an outside stucco pillar that needs some repair. Ain't never worked with stucco.

I spent the day in the garage. Got rid of a bunch of crap, rearranged lots of stuff, vacuumed 2043 flies off the window sill, and blew out leaves and dust.

Need to figure out how to hang the bikes since they are pretty much there to make us appear active.

That is nice work. The texturing part always gets me. Can't seem to match some textures

I came very close to doing the camburg ball joint uppers as they are a great option, I didn't really like that they want you to silicone RTV the caps on over where you'd get at the zerks but otherwise they seemed really nice. I'm in the same boat as you and I know that my truck is a majority pavement warrior so I was back and forth between the two options a lot (and the ball joint style JBA arms) before I finally pulled the trigger on the uniballs.

I went with uniballs because I felt like going ham on my truck, I do a lot of my own maintenance anyways and I know plenty of people run Uniballs and literally never ever clean them. Also a little bit of peer pressure from TW.;)

Maybe I'll regret it someday but worst case, I can always go to ball joint style and sell the cammies to partially make up for it.

    Anyways the deed is done!

I need to get the ride height adjusted though, I am running about 1/2" bro lean and 1/2" taco lean too. Luckily I have plenty of thread showing to lower the spring down and counteract the lean.

I'm just wondering what to do about alignment though... I know Firestone won't want to touch my ride height but I obviously need an alignment due to pretty visible positive camber. So do I get a temporary alignment and then go to a specialty shop for a ride height fix plus re-alignment, or just roll with a jank alignment until I can get in at Oasis next to SDHQ?

Fix the ride ht yourself and then get an alignment. If you can install this setup, you can adjust the preload on the coil overs. If you’re bro lean and taco lean, then just lessen the preload on the passenger side until it is even and then do the same to both to get rid of bro lean. But remember the springs will settle a little.

Yeah it’s not so much that I can’t do the preload, in fact I spun the rings to make sure that the collar screw was visible. I actually rented a spring compressor too but it didn’t seem to help aside from fucking up the paint on one coil. The problem is I am just totally beat up because the lupus and I don’t want to leave it sit for a week while I recover.

When I do serious work like this I get inflammation like crazy in my hands and joints which spreads into a systemic thing where I get a fever and stuff. I’m more honest with myself about it and I don’t have the same self-shame about admitting it, talking about it, taking meds for it and so on. I’m all up in that Aleve whereas previously I would just try to “tough it out”...

Ahh gotcha, totally understand wanting to have someone else adjust for you. But maybe someone here can meet up this week and help you out? No need for the spring compressor btw, just droop it out with a floor jack. With the right tool for adjusting it really is a 15min job.
