Well since my friends were all comparing mileage on their rigs I decided to check mine on the truck. 117981 on the odo as of today. Then I checked my tires receipt from last year, tires were mounted on 10/17/19 at 114934. So only 3k miles in the last year lol. Guess it’s almost time for an oil change and tire rotation.

Has anyone gone from 16” to 17” and want to do a spare tire and wheel swap? I went from 17” to 16”. Seems like more people jump to 17 then go down to 16

Thoughts and prayers for the town of Crown King. My summer home for 25 years. Built it myself and it would hurt to see it burn. I sold it a few years back after going through the Lane 2 and Gladiator fires.

This. Been texting my Mom about it today. Them and my grandparents are in Spring Valley. She said they're getting ash on the patio. It's been relentless lately.

Ive stopped watching the news, for obvious reasons. Didnt even realize there was a fire until I was coming south down 51 yesterday just before sunset and there was this weird cloud that was orange as fuck in front of the sun. Followed it northwest and saw where it was coming from. How long has it been burning?

First I’ve heard of it and scary stuff. Glad all are expected to make a full recovery and hopefully the missing puppy is found. Sounds like getting ejected early in the fall probably saved her life. Those trails are not difficult, but definitely deserve respect and demand full focus. It is a long way down if things go bad

Ive driven Blackbear in both directions, typically its only open going one way(down into Telluride) once you get to Bridal Veil Falls because of how tight/dangerous it is. Like Ryan said, its not difficult but it demands the utmost respect and concentration. There are switchbacks that require a 7 point turn even in a short wheelbase Jeep. Ejection probably did save her life. Anything falling off that pass will speed up for a long time before it slows down. Supposedly the driver of this Jeep was out of the vehicle helping another vehicle get around a switchback and his Jeep "it just started rolling." Total speculation here but it sounds like he either forgot to put on the parking brake or he stopped too close to the edge and the ground gave way.

I'm seriously getting the itch to either really take a shot at fixing my Celica, or buying the 5 spd currently for sale in Las Vegas and mashing the parts with my wrecked one to make a clean-ish, drive-able classic commuter...

Anybody know about the Scout camper that fits our Tacoma? I looked at their website, cost $20k plus options. Anyone seen them on the trail?

This Saturday is Adventure and Off Road Cars and Coffee at Fourtillfour in Scottsdale. Thinking I might swing back down there.

Congrats on selling the Blazer. Still have the Tacoma? What am I gonna have to look out for?
