My wife barely drives her 2016 Subaru but even it has 34,000 miles!

Not even that much man. This was the first time I had driven it in like 2 weeks. We just use her car. I don't have the car seat in it because I was so sick of it I was going to trade it in.

And I'm a stay at home dad....

We had a 2016 T4R Trail (TRD Offroad)...I seriously debated which one to keep for about a week before I paid off the Tacoma. It was a nice rig for sure, but I made the right choice...

What really got me was taking it over some speed bumps in the parking lot. In the Tacoma the front would glide over and then the rear would BOING because of the leafs. The T4R just whooshed over, the coil spring rear axle was remarkably better. And this was an SR5 Premium, not a TRD.
I know if I got a Tacoma I would immediately be eyeing the shackle mounts as that made such a colossal difference in ride quality, but then I'm throwing a substantial amount of money at something and immediately getting out the drill and angle grinder.

There's pros and cons to all of it.

It's downright cavernous compared to the Taco.

On the other hand, it's very dated tech, much slower than even the UX, doesn't come with any Manual option, and I'd have to get some kind of hitch mount cargo basket for my "bed only" items (eg, used oil jugs, steel targets covered in lead spall)

Fox 2.5 DSCs all around, Nitro Gear UCAs and Icon RXTs solved that

All based on your philosophy of use, though...Tacoma is the best for me and what I do.

True true... I think maybe I bit off more than I could chew with overhauling the Taco's suspension, I got too deep into the pandora's box aspect and it just ran away from me.

The theoretical 'Runner would be something I could still mod and make into a "battle wagon" but not get super deep into the hardcore mechanical aspect. Probably would spring for KDSS and leave the suspension mostly stock, just add the funner parts like switch pros and some gadgets, a bit of armor and some molle racks.

Ran some numbers and I could potentially make it happen later this year depending on options packages. Do we still have AZTW preferred sales contacts?

Dude, the length of your posts have not changed. I haven't read this much in so long.
One question for anyone who may know, is this a normal way to park in Wisconsin?

If they were up north right now they could slap a packers magnet on the trunk and no one would question a single thing they do. Maybe they took it off before parking using the braille method.

I was thinking maybe they don't pay attention to things like sidewalks in the winter up there because of the snow.

Anybody here good with video editing or filmography in general? We're wanting to update our website and do some features on some certain parts. I brought in my wife's 4k Canon and we've got a GoPro 5 in the machine getting video. I'm hoping to get a bunch of content today.. then splice together videos.. and more specifically.. do a fade time lapse. I've got the camera setup to capture the same rotation at every critical point in the program.. then I want to fade them together so every rotation or 2.. the material fades away..

Fiver definitely... I’m a film school dropout and I haven’t worked with editing software in years but I think you’re going to find that a time lapse looks a lot cooler than a fade.

That’s to say, run at 10x speed then slow for a rotation where you can see the detail you want to show, run at 10x speed again then slow again so you see the same position in the rotation with more material removed, rinse and repeat.

Fades are kind of jank as far as making it look like a process is happening IMO. And that’s more from a “film theory” standpoint but I guarantee you there’s someone out there who will knock it out of the park with either method.
