    That's how old people park.

    "Am I on the sidewalk?"
"No, Dick, you're fine. Stop fussing and park the car."

Been trying to buy a house. So far been beaten out by commifornians.

so far the biggest dumbass award went to someone that offered $65k over asking, waived inspection contingency and waived appraisal contingency... and I’m not looking at houses where $65k is pocket change on the overall price lol

hard to compete with that haha

Yep, this seems extremely common in every portion of the state that I pay attention to.

Wish you the best in your search, but it's crazy. People are paying over $300,000 for sub 1500 sqft mobile homes here in Kachina Village.

It is absolute insanity out there! We just bought a second house after initially being outbid by a Kommiefornian ($60K over asking) that ultimately couldn't qualify for the note (shocker). Seller then decided to take our offer...o_O

    Good luck, man!

My neighbor just sold for over asking, cash sale, day of the first open house with multiple offers.

We both bought 2 years ago at 240, he cleared damn near 330 in a day.

    It’s wild out there.

I’m hoping that eventually I will have so many offers out there that one will fall through and they will come back to me haha

Ill jump in with this housing insanity conversation. I sold my house last June for $295,000. I paid $220,000 26 months prior to that. Im half tempted to list my new house(since Im moving to Flag any day now) that I just bought in October because I want in on this cash-over-asking nonsense except that Id pay capital gains on it.

That sucks dude. One will come. Thats what everyone kept telling me. I am thinking about selling mine and making a killing right now. But then I would just lose on the other end cause I would have to be fighting to buy one and over paying. The market is hot up here too.

yeah. These californians. We are seeing them just fucking everyone. They sell their condo for 1.5 mil then move and fuck our housing markets in the rest of the country.

Sucks your buddy lost his land deal. Was he able to find another one?

The floor will fall eventually and I’ll buy then. This market is crazy inflated by the fact a lot lot of people can’t be evicted bc of corona and these random made-up-money stimulus packages keeping tons of companies from going under.

The fake money won’t keep the economy running forever.

I’m happy to pay rent in the meanwhile and let someone else deal with the hassles of home ownership.

My house went as a coming soon yesterday afternoon. Not active on the market. We have two tours already scheduled, one today. It is insane how fast it's all going.

I understand what you're saying... However, the downturn so many years ago stopped the new housing market. They are building as fast as they can, but there is a huge shortage. In addition to the wildfires in Ca last year, it only created a greater demand. So while the phony money won't sustain the market, regular capitalism will. People have money and need a place. Lots of first-time buyers are also needing housing and investors are renting to those that have no purchasing power. It will be a while before there is any major correction. A correction is not too far away, but it will not be the scale like the one from 2008

I’m more worried about a correction in the stock market, we just had news that retail sales grew in January and the market slipped down. I’m thinking we’re not just counting chickens before they’ve hatched, we’re counting eggs that haven’t been laid yet.
I’m not fixing to mash that eject button just yet but it’s worrisome to be sure.
