Schnebly is easy. Just air down and take it slow. I actually saw a built Jeep a few months back that had some Schnebly Hill badge next to some others on their fender like a list of trails they had conquered. It was laughable.

Last time I ran this was stock and nearly two years ago. It wasn't very hard but there was some parts while going down that I scraped the bumper on a ledge or two

It is simply a very bumpy road with some decent views. Air WAY down, youll be happy you did.

Best food in Sedona is at Mariposa. Best pizza is at Pisa Lisa(same owner/chef as Mariposa) get it takeout and go sit at the pavillion at Posse Grounds Park. If you want to get bougie AF go to Cress at L'Auberge, you practically sit in Oak Creek while you eat, its incredible. Honorable mention for above average pub food and good views on the deck is The Hudson.

Not sure what Schnebly Hill Rd you ran with ledges on it but its definitely just a bumpy dirt road haha.

I need to make some stickers like "flexed on a parking stop at the whataburger" and "went on a well graded forest road for a mile" and "didn't wash during the monsoon so it looks like I wheel" among other mall crawler achievements.:D

Dude you rock! This is all great info. As far as air "WAY" down, high teens, low 20's? I don't have bead locks or anything and maybe I'm just super paranoid but I've only ever really gone down to low 20's...
I will be bringing my baby Senco portable compressor with me and plugging it into the outlet. Don't have budget for on board air at this point and it's close enough...:anonymous:

What tires and size are you running and how much added weight? I would go at least 18 and go lower if your comfortable with it. I run about 12PSI but I’m light on big tires and skinny wheels.

Bone stock! 265/70R17, no added bumpers or anything like that.

18PSI should work well on stock tires. If it’s still too bouncy, drop a few PSI and you’ll figure it out.

The Great Mistake that is airing down. Lowers clearances and increases chances of damaging tires. Just slow down a little when your truck is telling you its too much, you will break less stuff and spend less time thinking about air compressors. Taken out of context drooling over air compressors is silly and airing down is just trying to be 'More Aussie" in the Overland Status Hierarchy. Any Aussie will tell you they only air down on soft sand when more flotation is needed.
PS: I did Schnebly Hill last week (after all that rain) in my stock 02 TRD and it felt a bit like rock crawling. The Pink Jeeps have that trail TORE UP. I did it a few years ago in a rental Big Horn Ram and it was much smoother.

Crap! I've been doing it wrong for 50 years. In Arizona I always thought if I could take some of the edge off the rocks it'd make the ride a little less jarring and make it easier on components of my vehicle. Not to mention the traction advantage. Oh well, I guess you're never too old to learn.

Edit. 16 to 20 psi ought to do it. :)

Yeah, no. Airing down isn’t some myth and it does help keep your tires alive when things are nasty.

*cough* It's the UTV's and the other idiots not airing down

My dad did Schnebly Hill in his Mazda CX5 last year. (Apparently it was a super smooth road when he did it last in the 70's haha) It's like that road going to Sheeps Bridge, easy but a fucking nightmare. I'll never do either again.

Like @Maxx said, since you'll have a compressor with you go to 18 and see how you like it. Before you hit the road would be a good time to check that your spare is holding air and in good shape (I think your truck is brand new though so that shouldnt be an issue.)

I don’t even air up my truck anymore lol. No clue what being “more Aussie” means but how dare you call me an overlander based on my preferred tire pressure

Little hair of the dog and a shot of whiskey might help me out this morning lol. But I gotta drive home today. The beach is nice and all but the rest of this state is crazy. Time to come back to AZ
