Man, that’s lame as hell, especially considering it’s basically just a good sturdy trash bag to keep other bags in… not like it’s full of good shit to go sell or PlayStations or something.

I gotta share this story from a buddy of mine who lived out of a sprinter van for a while though… he had one of those portable toilets, the ones that have some kind of portajohn chemical and storage where you can remove the container from the pot and go empty it. This thing looks like a rolling suitcase…
So one day it’s full, he’s in LA, and he’s taking it to go empty it at some disposal place. Some absolute dipshit steals it off him while he was distracted.

He was mad as hell in the moment because those things aren’t cheap but eventually it dawned on him that that guy was probably going to try to open it up, and basically find out what it was when a bunch of turds fell out :crapstorm::rofl:

So there was some kind of cosmic justice served that day.

Is flag really that bad? Or just your area?

It's not bad at all. A far cry from any truly bad place. That area along the 180 just seems to create some mindset for theft or something. Maybe it's because the parking lot is so visible from a busier roadway. Not sure.

Where I live in Flag I would routinely leave my Tacomas unlocked, sometimes with the keys inside, overnight. No worries.

I own real estate, and spend a decent amount of time doing work on them, in the 'worst' part of Flagstaff and it is laughably tame compared to the ghetto I was born and raised in on the east coast. You might see a couple drunk guys walking around together, but that's really it.

    * Yes, sometimes folks get shot in town, like most any place, but the general feel is very comfortable on the day to day.

Generally Flagstaff is not like this. Even the "area" I live in is quite nice. The particular complex of townhouses I live in is crappy and has a lot of questionable residents. Im pretty sure it was someone that lives in my complex that took it, not a random stranger or passerby. I have numerous other issues going on at the place that Im trying to resolve and management just does not care. Theres a reason its so poorly rated online and I would have moved elsewhere if it wasnt so hard to rent anything anywhere in the city. I had to sign the lease and pay the deposit before I was even able to see the inside of the house.

lazy management sadly can be a pitfall for living situations like that. Wish u the best of luck man, I've been through it with harassing neighbors. Luckily they gave up and moved, now renting it to a person who minds their own :D

That really is nuts, and showcases how shit the PM company is (not a surprise). A large pet peeve of mine is large companies buying up loads of rentals and then putting machine like property managers in charge, treating humans like numbers or steps on a checklist. Especially with it being about housing, a basic human need.

However, it doesn't surprise me. Oversaturated market, so they know they can get away with it.

    Poverty with a view!

Stuff that costs more than my wife thinks.
Not the entire time, no. But they were the first to give Ducey a 2-finger salute as soon as they could open. I will say there were plenty of meatheads at the time that would refuse to mask up to "catch their breath" for their entire time there. Just wasn't worth putting others' ability to BE at the gym at risk, if you ask me. But it sure beat the hell out of resistance bands and my back patio.

Coming from downtown Atlanta, this gave me a bit of a hearty chuckle.

but of course all "large" cities are going to have their places to avoid after dark.

That’s a huge red flag. However I understand with just going with it. As the housing market is stupid here now. Hence my family and I are in a old ass manufactured house that’s way to small. But such is life we’ll deal with it.

I’ll try to keep an eye on FB marketplace.

As others have said. The worst areas of Flagstaff are no where near like actual ghettos or “blocks” that some of us grew up in or have lived in. That being said as in anywhere there are places to be careful at times.
I had a old CO that used to drill into us back when in Oki Japan. Nothing good happens after midnight. I used to brush it off, but learned to respect it later as I grew.

    Well,
with me being out of state on assignment for work and working 72 hours a week. I thought it was finally time to place a slider order. Paid Avid Off-road this morning for their whole shabang! kick out top plates and powder-coat.
Although I don't wheel at all I will enjoy the extra stiffness and security it brings with it for my daily & fun truck. Asked them to delay fabbing until I get back in town for the week of Sept. 18-25 and they were more than happy to oblige, also didn't have to pay freight cause they just invoiced me for local pickup.

I've noticed a lot of that. And when the bottom falls out our government will bail them out with our money.
