    So this is my first oiled filter... picked it up with the trade from @Fiend13 . Looks to be doing its job. Is there any regular maintenance to them minus the actual cleaning and re-applying oil? Snorkel picks up quite a few bugs too. Lol

    Also washed the truck and did a band aid fix for my leaky diff.. productive lunch.

    Just normal cleaning and oiling. It'll eventually show wear and tear from service and you'll want to replace it then. But should be good for a dozen or so services.

    If you do a trip with a group and it's dusty, do it after the trip, otherwise I would just always service it when I did oil changes every 3k miles or so.

    I've always had oiled filters. Depending on how much I drive I'd clean them ever 1-2 months, or unless we had a huge dust storm or I went somewhere with a lot of dirt.
