    ESB long travel kit, Deaver f67s with DTF 12 inch shackles.
    I can tell you this. It all depends on where you want to end up welding at. If it’s pipe welding, go to school. Mainly welding school teaches you how to arc weld and it’s all repetitive. Cut test panels grind em weld em. Then redo. 3 of the 4 coworkers here at my job went to school and when they started they had little to no fabrication skills. They only teach stringer welds as well. Like I said not to sure on what area of welding you want to do but I did not go to welding school and am self taught with some help from buddy’s in the beginning then I just bought a welder and had at it in my garage. Hands down the best way to learn IMO

    I work for a construction company and we just got a city of Phoenix bus shelter contract that last 5 years and over 500 bus shelters. And we only mig here and we don’t ever do stringers. We weld to make it visually appealing while still strong.

    @llibrm took a class through the CC, I think he said they did a little bit of everything. I am sure he can chime in.

    I know a couple of fabricators that just bought a welder and practiced until they were decent, and then they practiced even more. Thats my plan to learn.
