But what about the required reading of the write-up before the lecture?

I've done it before, it's quite easy actually.

It wouldn't take that long. I can give you the rundown in a few lines.

The single hardest part of it, and the sole building block that people forget how to "teach" is learning the clutch bite point.
Go sit in a flat parking lot in 1st gear and put your foot on ONLY the clutch. Practice getting the vehicle moving with ONLY THAT PEDAL. It'll want to bog out like crazy but you'll soon start to learn the feel of hanging out on the bite point.
You're not going to burn out the clutch, and the idle is going to start to adjust up to pull the car along.

After you develop that muscle memory? All gravy baby. Moving the car only gets easier when you can blip the gas. Hills, upshifts, downshifts, everything is all based off that one building block. Find the bite point, and you will learn fast, grasshopper.

Looks great! I was a bit skeptical thinking it would look a bit like a 'run of the mill base-model work truck' but it really looks great on the PW, I think the fogs and grill really pull it together

See, this is why I need to do a manual transmission swap on my Tacoma. Because driving a manual transmission is one of the mandatory skills my children will learn before they leave my household.

Anyone gone through with replacing all of the O2 sensors in your rig? I've got 285k and been fighting the CEL. Replaced the fuel cap, smoke tested looking for leaks, now down to replacing the O2 sensors.

Just debating if it's something I want to tackle in my garage or drop it off at the shop.

What codes is it throwing? I'd check codes before throwing sensors at it.

But anyways, as long as you have the lambda wrench 02 sensors are a doable DIY. Just make sure you are buying ones with connectors installed, not "splice your own" deals that are always a headache.
PB blaster and anti-seize are your friends too. In a Taco there's gonna be more room than your average econobox so the rear should be trivial to get to, the front might be more of a hassle but still better than most.

If it's really giving you a pain you can even unplug the sensor and drop the section of exhaust it is on to go full aggro on removal.
