When I got my civil degree (2008) it was just over $3k a year. Now it's up to $20k. Curriculum is the same. I would say the school was cutting edge, but it definitely had everything needed to get students familiar with current industry standards. Like @signalbobby said, it's a piss poor business approach

    Crazy expensive...
I know there are some private universities down in Guadalajara and Monterrey that are offering all English clases for several degrees for foreing students that want a cheaper solution from the US

MT stuff, RTT stuff, the usual.
Had mine redacted by Google years ago when I was still a Deputy because they had a pic of my patrol unit in my driveway.

    Still good!

I look at it this way, I've been at my job for 12 years now, obvious working making raises and few promos, it took my wife 8-9years At her job as of a week ago to start making 2k more then me a year, but she still has 30kish student loans, now granted its government and super easy in comparison to the work I put in and gets a lot of paid days off and so on. But end of the day we still are not at the Point of where the benefit of her degrees have paid for themselves and probably won't for another handful of years. I'm about 2 math classes and a science with a lab from my associates, but all paid cash so whenever I decide to finish it I'll at least have that although it's been about 13 years now hah, and went very general with a business and marketing field.

Like Nate said, pretty much you need a degree to advance in almost any field (yes there are exceptions)

I don't think there is anything wrong with not getting a degree, as long as you have a plan.

But at some point in most fields you will be capped. That is why a good amount of "students" are middle aged men and women. Idk I'd rather just do it now so I don't ever peak.

I'll be graduating in may (thank god) and will transition to a full time position with my current employer. For reference the position that I walked into as an intern, is something that other people are trying to get promoted to. Just because I'll have that piece of paper I'll be 10 steps ahead of some of my coworkers. Good grades in HS made my school 95% free, which was cool.

IMO as long as you get a degree in a field that can pay, the student loans would be worth it.

Back to the az trails thread to watch cliff and Johnny duel it out :D

When I was a senior in high school deciding where I was going to college, I put all of the schools into a spreadsheet. Factored in tuition, cost of living in those places, housing, food, cost to come home, everything. And I picked ASU only because it was the cheapest after 4 years. I had never toured ASU, only had been to Phoenix for spring training baseball games. At the end of the day, a degree is a degree, networking is what really matters.

It's just a big happy accident that I became friends with all of you

Here I thought you picked it cause it used to be one of the nations biggest party schools with all the female talent.

Think that was all ruined after the ASU BRCC incident.

I don't have a clue what I want to do. I'm just gonna pick a degree in something that sounds interesting and find a job after that.

So I go in to get my results of my 3 day EEG test. Which sucked major ass btw.

"The computer with your results crashed and they are trying to recover it. If we can't we'll have to schedule you for another 3 day EEG".

    Mother-fucker.

If possible pick a degree in something you think you'd like as well as something that is needed in society. While school loans suck-ass that piece of paper gets you father faster. However experience also gets you a long ways!
My 1st job after an electronics degree was pushing buttons for 8-12 hours a day and it sucked.
Got better as I got experience in the industry and moved up and onto newer things.
