What @2ndGenJonny said. If I'm going to drive somewhere other in town, I'll bump up the entire trip with a tank before I depart and after. I don't know if that makes a difference in the motor adjusting... But it's what I do. The knocking does settle down for sure.

I know right?! I don't know what that is all about either. From what I know 89 is just half 87 and 91 so why the odd price differences between the three grades boggles my mind as well.

I always run 91 octane in my Tacoma. To me my truck runs smoother is quieter and get a few better mps on 91. I'm sure the cost differences might negate the mps but over all my truck seams happier on 91. And really if 87 is 2.00 and 91 is 2.45 is only around a 10 dollar difference. Not going to make our break my bank account.

Main section of the bumper is primed, just have to wait for it to dry so I can start with the actual painting.

Not sure about that one, but I can definitely speak with experience on the Kicker HS-8. A little more money, but better quality. It sounds great in my DCSB.

Just installed it yesterday and already got yelled at by my Wife for it being too much bass while trying to set gain and crossover.

How's the 89 run compared the the 91? Filled up with 91 for the first time this weekend. Noticed a difference

I've had my truck for a year now.

Put 44k miles on it in a year. Road trips = life this past year.

Higher octane is just a higher resistance to detonation. Which is why for a forced induction or higher compression ratio motor it is used. But your average stock motor will actually run worse with it because it is harder to burn. So I don't see how bumping up your octane will help unless you've got some serious performance upgrades.

Octane is nessesarily "harder" to burn. It's a more complete and stable burn. Once the plug ignites, it's going to burn. Being more stable allows the engines computer to advance the timing more and not burn valves. Running with retarded timing makes the engine sluggish and less responsive.

I've personally found that 89 in MY truck runs the best. 89-91 provided no noticible difference in performance or fuel milage. 87 runs terrible and pings with poor milage.

Yet still 50 cents or more per gallon across the board. Gotta pay in Commiefornia so the gov't machine can continue to strip you of your rights.

I hear what your saying, but fact is our Highlander and my Taco run noticeably quieter with 89 or better. As far as performance or MPG, I really can't say because when the Taco runs smoother, I lead foot a little harder.

I normally go cargo shorts pocket if I'm wearing them, or same thing hate sitting on it so I put in the armrest or that little rectangle holder thing next to the shifter with my phone.

You got to remember he's wearing kids size jeans because the length, I'm sure the pockets are smaller as well then.

What has the firestick been doing? My only issue with it is when it sleeps, and have to wake up back up to the main menu and launch the app again but that's only after it's been idle for like 4-5hrs or something. Other then that I've run into clearing the cache every so often to keep it running smoothe.

But overall I'm still very happy with it for the price per month and benefit. Only issue I ever ran into was after an update my shows wouldn't show up but read online about logging off and back in and it fixed so no biggie still.
